Y’all sometimes products that make your hair feel like straw after it’s freshly dried is because it’s creating a cast varied over your hair allowing your hair to stay in place hence why your hair is so defined🥵🥵 but it might take a day or 2 to break the cast and then it’ll be soft and you’re able to feel the moisture under. My hair type is fine and semi smooth surface texture even though I’m a 4b guy. But normally I’d a product is super crunchy it just may take longer to break the cast cause ik my hair is moisturized under wether I used ecoslay banana cream deep conditioner or my aphogee provitamin water based leavein

I love a good gel cast. This is not that. The Bee Girl gel makes my hair feel like straw. Like the here will never be enough water and conditioner to bring it back to life. It looks great, but feels awful. Feels unhealthy. Feels like your hair will shatter if you touch it. Took a couple washes and deep conditioning sessions before it started and I feel hydrated again. Everybody’s hair is different. Some folks love it. My hair can’t tolerate it.

...? as someone who worked for johnson & johnson for years, i'm here to tell you that almost any styling product worth anything will make your hair feel stiffer. this is nothing new and has been a thing since hairspray? if you're sealing your hair and it feels wet/greasy, chances are your hair isn't actually sealed. you just have product sitting on top of your hair/scalp.
@BrittanyMia Жыл бұрын
My channel is all about wash and go’s. I use products that specifically do give my hair hold, so I know about stiffness. My issue with this product is that it is marketed as the complete opposite and it left my hair feeling dry, brittle and fragile; unlike any other product I’ve tried. Feel free to watch the full video on my KZfaq channel so you can get a better understanding.

That is true but like this is for the people that can't really afford it or that might be all that you can afford especially those kids that go and spend all their money on it and that's all the products that you have left in your house this is where you're going to find out about sending out the product with water which makes me means even though it was a little bit you still might have put too much product on your hair and this is where you find out about using oil on your hair you're going to have to use oil some type of cream something to keep that previous product lubricated so that way it doesn't dry out your hair or in other words a layering products
@BrittanyMia Жыл бұрын
I understand not being able to afford the Innersense, and Ouidad products. But I will say, I had to order Bee Girl because it’s not sold in the stores in my area. And after shipping I spent a cool $18. So as far as price goes, this is not necessarily that much cheaper than the previously mentioned brands of gels. $8-$10 more give or take. And I said that trendy natural hair products don’t work for us all. Not that they don’t work at all. I don’t want to have to make something work that I don’t have to, but I understand when somebody does have to make something work. I simply do not like the product and that is okay. There are people who love this product and that is also okay. I don’t want to have to use an oil or a cream to make a product work that I was literally only trying because I had a few requests to try it out. Again, it’s not for me but it can be for you or for anybody else who likes the product.

So what is your resolve give facts and resolve. Why can’t black people understand our hair and make products that we need in place of depending on other races to resolve for us???
@wateva4270 Жыл бұрын
This is quite true, there are some natural hair brands with black creators but I don't think they are as popular.
@BrittanyMia Жыл бұрын
My resolve is to use products that work for my hair. The Uncle funky‘s daughter line works great for my hair, and that is black owned. however, it’s not that Black people can’t understand our hair. It’s that Black people don’t have the capital and buy in from investors to support research on our hair. Big brands rarely research black hair. They only give us things that are popular in our community, such as thick buttered products, highly moisturizing products, and typically segregate our “ethnic hair“ from any other hair within the stores and online. We are supposed to use specific products only for us, and when we go to try the products that are marketed towards white, biracial, and looser curled women, we find that those products have the most research behind them. Which means those products are properly formulated for hair, not just “our hair”. At the end of the day, hair is hair. Hair has no color. A product that can work for me can work for a lot of different people, but that’s not what the consumer wants to hear. So that’s not what promoted. It all goes back to capitalism. So to put it lightly, once people who have major capital like the bigger companies such as L’Oreal decide that they want to invest in more research behind black hair and not just white hair, there are going to be large gaps in product knowledge and formulation. Typically research is not done if a product is selling well to the black community. So it’s not so much that it’s healthy for our hair and it works, just that it’s trendy and it’s popular and they have our dollars. Typically, where there is capital gain in the research from the majority, there will be the properly formulated products. And unfortunately, that’s not in the “ethnic section” or textured hair section in general. If the product was created by a white owned company, some (NOT ALL) typically have research based on how white women’s hair reacts to it. Again, hair is hair. Our hair works well with products that weren’t necessarily meant for our hair and we are discovering that now. so it is tough for me to purchase 8 ounce bottles that are $16 and marketed to Black people, as opposed to buying the gels and leave-ins That aren’t necessarily marketed to me, but still work for me better than anything else I’ve tried that come in bigger bottles at more reasonable prices per ounce. At the end of the day, we have a long way to go.
@BrittanyMia Жыл бұрын
BTW I of course will still try black owned products. But I won’t solely support it because it’s black owned. It also has to work for me.
