I had a cheap board when I first started skating and I struggled with everything on it but i was persistent. Then after about a year I got an actual high quality deck with nice trucks and wheels. I instantly started nailing stuff that I had been practicing on the cheap board but could never do.

9:58, can confirm. In Australia if you "deck check" the board (stop while the coping is in the middle) it's called decker, short for deck check. It goes back to the 80's

Suggestion for the rules of "Don't Break That" - make it so each person has to try until they land the trick each set. That way, if you land it 1st try its a lower chance of breaking and going to the next person. If it takes you 8 tries, that's 8 chances for the board to break on that person.

2:50 it’s probably the same machine that makes wrapped decks only, and then some of those decks get trucks and wheels and are sold as completes. Making the wrapped deck for both saves them time/extra steps.

What a coincidence I started skating two days ago and I’ve been using this board and I started watching this channel cuz skateboarding you know and yesterday a teacher at my school tried to Ollie on it and a nose snapped off I’m still practicing with it just it’s broke now. I love this channel

I started on a Nash board from play it again sports with plastic trucks! Broke the kingpin learning front side 180s lol... The deck ended up being the board a few of my homies first learned with before someone finally broke it learning acid drops!🤣 Thanks for the nostalgia Braille!!!

I have that exact board (yes I’m a beginner) and, both me and my friend like it the same as his 120$ board from our local skate shop…I haven’t done anything insane on it by any means, but it’s perfectly fine for going down ramps, cruising around, and doing Ollie’s.

they always put it plastic under the hardward cause of kinda what mcnugg said. they most likely put the decks through a shrink sleeve bundling machine & then assemble the board when it comes out because it'd be harder to calibrate the machine for a complete & there'd be less consistency with wrapping it if they were to put a complete through the machine

Hey I have a question how can you automatically tell the difference in nose and tail of a skateboard so you don’t have to pick it up to tell and also is it okay to put tape (regular white tape) on my griptape so you don’t have to pick it up to tell I’m asking cause I’m getting a new one and with my current one the screws are lighter on the nose side

one time we took the trucks off a friends board and tried to skate it on snow, it kind a worked, down hill and in a straight line, you also have to kinda manual all the way down because if your nose sinks under the snow, you get bodied. also forget about turning, you just turn sideways, then your board slides under the snow and you get bodied. also once you get snow on your grip tape, forget about having any traction on it whatsoever.

Try to buy all of the cheapest parts you can find on Amazon to build a complete skateboard. Like the cheapest trucks, cheapest bearings, etc..

reason why plastic goes on before trucks is it is easier to wrap the board without the trucks, they literally feed the board through the machine and wrap it then the next assembles it. Fun vid :)
