Those "white cracks" are not the paper or the bad roller.. its cheap paint. Very cheap. The only positive I see is that it gives you ideas on how to put a sticker kit together.. but with none of their parts.

I actually loved the colors! I hate it when promotional pictures show beautiful/vibrant colors but the real thing looks muted and muddy, and this was totally not the case here. I didn't mind the mixed effect of the roller either - it looked very gradient-like, almost like what you'd get at a tie-dye job. The fact that it transfers to fabric as well as to the sticker paper is another thing I'd count as a plus. Really, the paints could've saved this kit for me if not for the fact that the stickers warp out of the paper. There's not much fun in a sticker kit where the stickers don't... stick.

Oh NerdECrafter there’s this kit called 工作用プラバンひ〜とっきゅ is a key chain making kit it’s in Japanese so if you want translations just ask but hey it’s a suggestion also you have to use oil markers (I think it means permanent markers so sharpies will probably be ok)

+NerdECrafter Is it strange that I have a phobia of stickers? I think it is weird but apparently it is supposed to be a rare phobia but I don't know. I absolutely despise used stickers especially when they are all dirty and have began to peel. I get scared Do you think this is weird or is it a normal phobia?

The paint cracking and flaking off the paper is because its super cheap and, very likely, totally nontoxic (and I would guess may be even "washable"). Which makes for shitty paint with no flexibility. But it also makes for paint that is way more environmentally friendly than most other paints you'll use in your life time.

Oh you SaltE one! I think your reviews could have environmentally friendly codes like: 🐬🐬🐬🐬 or unfriendly codes like: ☠️☠️☠️☠️. Wish I could find the symbol for radiation, lol. Seriously, these companies need to pay crafters like you to use the kit out of R&D, then fix the problems you find, THEN go to production and ship. Crayola did a few things right in this kit: vibrant colors, full-color illustrated instruction book, and a decent variety of stickers. They totally need to go to the Sophie and Toffee website and see their themes, lol. If they replaced the roller and added transfer paper (like the kind we use for our Cricut and Silhouette machines), then it would be a fairly decent kit, I think. Another fun video! Thanks for the laughs, especially the one where you had to get the roller out of the trash can. Still snorting over that a bit.

Doodledate reviewed a sticker maker which I thought did a WAY better job. You should that one... draw, color, and press... BAM sticker. I know you review these boxset items, but cheap plastic tools almost always fail. I would rather stick drawing and painting skills, but I'm adult, so that arguement does not count.

I was trying to remember what the kit reminded me of...a gelli plate and brayer. It's kind of normal for the paints to mix when it's spread out with a roller like that, but I don't know if I'd go as far to advertise that kit for making stickers. I did love the colors of the paint. The purple it made almost made me want to buy it just for the paint alone. lol.

Hey if you’re looking for more crayola kits to review, there’s a model magic bead maker and a window cling maker. I found them really fun when I was younger and I’m curious to see how it holds up. (Though if you do the window cling thing, acrylic paint doesn’t work well as colorant)

This reminds me a lot of when I had to make prints in my art class. We would put down the ink and use a roller on the plate. Then we'd use what was on the roller to put the ink on these carved linoleum tiles we had to do. We were making relief prints.

Have you thought about doing more teen or adult craft kits? The ones for 8 year old's are, obviously, geared towards 8 year olds - hence the stickers that dont really stick very well (Bc parents prob don't want their house wallpapered in the worlds ugliest stickers). Id love to see reviews on kits geared towards an older demographic.

That would be great! Do you know any? Let me know which and I'll try my best to find them. Also, 8yrs olds aren't 3 yr olds. They won't stick things randomly or color your walls with markers. At that age, they are pretty aware of rules :) these kits are 8+ bc they require a certain dexterity level

If you want something better you can get something called a jelly plate and a brayer. You can use them on sticker paper or various papers to create backgrounds or really cool swirls of paint for a matting border.

Not me, I would have been disappoited, since it i crp. Even as a child I could not stand tools hich did not work, britteling paint, all these bad stuff. I even disliked it, when pictures in a book were made as if a child could not make a good painting, the painted people had huge noses and fingers like twigs on a tree. Maybe some people find it somehow cute to give such a cripled crap to children, and think it is as if they take an empty bottöe of plastic and imagine it is a well dressed Lady in doll size. I always hated this. We had books with pictures, made from child's paintings. I always wanted proper things, pictures, which looked like real persons and I would have wanted a sticker kit which worked, with beautiful colors, and with a tool which not just smers the colors and turn them into a miscolored mass which brittles.
