I saw this at Target and almost bought it but then I thought “wait I can get 3 lip smackers lip glosses at dollar tree and save $17” 😂

That kit is not at a all worth it. Not only is it over priced, it's also cheap, and bad for you. The glitter in the kit is not to be consumed. Also, the lip gloss base contain mineral oils which are really bad for you.

My neighbor that I babysit for got the slime box thing that KG made..and my sweet girl loves some slime, so she was SO excited. And when she opened it and saw what it came with (she’s 10) she freaking CRIED. She said “my daddy couldn’t afford to get me a lot and JUST this was $25! Do you know how many gallons of glue and baking soda I could have gotten instead of this crap?!” Lol 😂😂♥️❤️

While I love a salty review of a terrible product, I think terrible craft kits can be just as fun as good ones as long as you have sarcastic friends and alcohol.

I think it would be really neat to see you do a video where you recreate the projects in these kits, by buying the individual stuff from craft stores, and seeing how well (and similar to what the kit advertises) you can make them, and how cheaply you can do it. I hope that makes sense xD

I have to disagree with you a little bit, Karina should take some heat for this and the other duds that have her name on them. You said that you two have communicated some and she knows the problems. I'm sure she's probably seen all of these videos due to her people probably sending her the links, she has the responsibility to contact Craft City and address these issues if she's going to put her name and face on them. Doing so endorses these products so she should take some of the flak for their poor quality. She needs to get them to raise their production quality or cancel whatever contract she has with them. If she hasn't contacted them and made her concerns known, this could harm her reputation. I have no irons in the fire on this, I'm a 47 year old male graphic designer with no kids, so it makes no difference to me. But I tell you what, if I put out sub-par designs and a client came back with problems with a design I made for them and I didn't change it and make it better, I shouldn't be surprised when I start losing customers because I just don't care to fix my mistakes.

My god that's the worst kit I've ever seen. The other two were amazing compared to this. Just filling up a bottle with base and gloss, nothing else, no actual making. So bad

The separation is normal because the glitter layer is denser than the layer of oil and scent. The reason glitter doesn’t separate with other lip glosses is because most of them are glycerin based. Also, when you added the scent the mixture seemed thinner than before you added it. So less scent could’ve prevented separation. Please notice me Senpai.

I honestly would not call this stem . I just saw her squishy diy box . It says it comes with molds but nope. It has premade squishies you just color them . Just like the soft'n slo ones . They do some great manipulating on the box. rip off if you ask me

There's a brand called Creativity for Kids that makes a lip balm kit which looks way more fun than this one, just throwing that out there... :)

I don't know if you've mentioned this before, as this is the first time I've seen your videos. Fantastic content. The boxes say "STEM" on them, but you aren't really learning anything. My little cousins were so excited when they saw STEM on the box, because they thought they'd actually get to learn something, but we're disappointed to find out you're not really doing any precise measurements or mixing for it to be considered learning. Luckily I could satisfy them by buying different supplies to do our own experiments in making lip products. So I put together a lesson they enjoyed. And guess what... We made way more for half the cost.

The end result to the lip gloss reminds me of something in the makeup bargain bin at the 99 cents store, where they have all the makeup in that little basket, but it’s all clearly been opened, there’s makeup powder everywhere and it’s all messy. Kinda looks like that lip gloss belongs there, lol.

$20 for tacky cheap lipgloss. Pretty sure you could get the same shitty gloss for $1 each at a dollar store lol

I’m not even sure that the glitter the kit uses is cosmetic glitter???? Craft glitter is REALLY DANGEROUS to use for make-up as it can be harmful if consumed! (That’s probably why you had scratchy complaints & the gloss looks... oily) You’re just better off buying clear gloss from your local supermarket as a base + mixing your fave eyeshadow pigments in :/

This isn't teaching a child about science when, as you put it, it's just assembling. It's just glitter and liquid! Are you kidding me?? I didn't have to use the kit to be insulted by how it's dumbed down. I don't understand how KG endorses this product when it's overpriced, wasteful with supplies, and not even remotely educational or creative! It's probably not animal cruelty free (which is a dealbreaker in my book) and though, it does list the ingredients used in the gloss, at the cost of the kit it should feature more natural ingredients. I'm sure people aren't thinking about how eco friendly or cruelty free a kit should be when it's for young audiences, but it's just a heap of junk! How incredibly wasteful and useless.

Even when you’re a fan of someone, and they have a kit, you really shouldn’t judge someone for being salty to the kit. It’s not like the person who has their own kit has control over the quality of the kit, sometimes they’re not even the one who puts out the kit, in fact the person who is being the inspiration for the kit, or even a product, doesn’t even know the kit or product existed in the first place. It happened before. So please, people, be nice to salty crafter, and like she always says, she’s judging the product, not the person. Be the good popcorn kind of salty 🤗

I love watching your SaltEcrafter review videos, It makes me think twice about buying kits for my great nieces and nephews. I don't know if we have the Craftcity kits over here but unless I can see the contents I will not take the risk. When I was growing up the kits then were full of ingredients to make the items shown on the box at least twice. If no one wants to sponsor you that is their loss .

I looked it up and from my understanding, the type of plastic used for the glitter is also used for food packaging and tape. I haven’t found anything about it that says its use in cosmetics or other skin products. I might have over looked something but given the integrity of this kit and the brand as a whole, probably not. Doesn’t sound like something you should put on your face

I appreciate you doing this. I work hard for my money and I still want to treat my daughter to the things she likes but I don’t want to waste my hard earned money. Not sure why you'd be getting a bunch of shit for honestly reviewing a product. I mean, you aren't making any complaints up - these are real problems with these kits that you're pointing out. There isn't a ton of nitpicking. I'd love to know why people are bugging you. That being said, I'm with you - if you're telling me I'm gonna make a lip gloss, don't give it to me already put together! Really all you get to do is just...add scent and color. That's not making lip gloss, that's customizing lip gloss. At least market it right.
