2:25 *Minor correction*- AMD HS series processors are actually a lower power version of the same H processor variant. HS series processors are meant for laptops with slimmer chassis and they benchmark a bit below the similarly named H processor. Nice and simple laptop buying guide overall!

Ram is most important to me and yea the processor issue whats more important is the number of cores 2 cores is more general and admin use 4 is good for gaming anything above that is for heavy computing like making games and software development obviously more cores you need more ram and in more then one chanel or you'll get bottlenecks in performance then there's gpu aka graphics but it's also used for encryption and other high intensity computing like gaming which it has its own ram as well bigger the better but I can easily spend 30k to 40k on a laptop... so going for budget is hard

I found a $670 laptop on Amazon with a Ryzen 5 6600H and a GTX 3050 in it, but here’s the Catch, only 8gb of ram, and 256gb of storage, even with the obviously necessary upgrades, the system only comes out to about $740, which is nothing compared to some of the high end models.

3:10 The oled display is worse at the same resolution as lcd for reading text and clarity. Along with that at higher brightnesses, lcd is better at consistiency and power usage. *not to mention the risk of oled burn and associated problems. *edit- i am not hating on the info, just putting up some missed points, the video is a good starting point for the average person on the route of laptop tech.

this video was perfect for the people who do not want to go in much detail. But one thing I noticed was that you didn't say anything about radeon graphics. Like, I bought an MSI Bravo 15 with an rx5500m for 48k, and I think it is far better than the gtx 1650 laptops which extend even up to 60k

The video is great, thanks for sharing. What does "G7" mean in an intel processor? Example: i5-1135G7. Because it is not "U", "P", or "H" processor.

Both the HP Victus and Acer Aspire are more than 60k with the RTX 3050, the GTX 1650 versions are the ones less than 60k

For me laptops are meant for portability hence it should have great battery life which gaming laptops won't provide overtime you will be using them with chargers all the time instead of buying gaming laptop buy a good gaming desktop.

The most valuable feature is Upgradability. Thinness in laptops has degenerated from being a feature to now it is a bug. I never put a "laptop" on my lap.

I have an Acer Swift 3 which I am using for 4 years without a problem and, a recently purchased HP DEV One. Both are awesome laptops. The display (mate finish) of my Acer is far more better than the Hp (reflective). For most cases, Integrated Graphics is fine. Laptops with upgradable RAM are a better choice. 16 GB is good for most situations. 8 GB is low, I believe. Go for newer Intel and AMD chips. Don't waste money on older spec graphics laptops like MX250 2GB (my Acer has one, and it is of no use). They perform far below the newer 11th and 12th Intel chips, and 6th and 7th Gen AMD with integrated graphics. Check for Build quality and hinge sturdiness. 4k laptops are overkill for smaller screen, don't waste money on that.

Precisely the reason why I opted for a MacBook that was on a deal and very affordable. WAY too much confusion, & long term reliability is mostly questionable. My 2015 Macbook Air which I bought in 2016 for around 60k, still runs well 7 yrs later, for my needs & purposes. It has its drawbacks, but I've largely found workarounds. Windows manufacturers are earning money thru' confusing the customers more than selling a single good product, & Intel is also reason for that. Now, as the need to get a new laptop rises, I'll mostly be looking to get an ipad or Android Tablet, as they fulfill documentation, browsing & productivity needs a lot better, *providing more value* , than a 40-60k laptop. Can last decently for 4-5 yrs, before needing to be changed. As such, I've never seen a Windows laptop in the past decade lasting 4 yrs without an issue. When a product purchase ends up becoming a PHD research, it means consumers are going to be ripped off without knowing where. I'd rather pay more money & get ripped off by Apple knowing what I am & am not getting.

Good starting guide, but this could be deeper by a bit. Could have probably mentioned, how Amazon does marketing of soon-to-be e-waste laptops (*cough* Celeron processors *cough*). Laptops are an investment these days, simplifying the buying process is not such a good idea.

My simplest suggestion would be.... If budget more than 60k, extend it to 70k and get m series macbook. If budget is less than 30k, get chromebook. And in between, spend atleast 5 hrs of your own to decide 😂

An advice for those who want to buy a laptop that they don't regret. Cause i have done a lot of research. 1. Don't buy a laptop 😞. Just kidding 😃 1. If you really want a laptop that doesn't make you frustrated at the time of doing some work, then you need atleast 35k, yeah trust me, 1220p is kinda like the starting of processor which don't suck. 2. Only look for 12th gen and up processor and in amd, look for 5000 series and above. 3. Some brands might give you a lot good specs on paper, but in practical uses they fail to achieve what they are supposed to handle easily. So, now to make some easy choices for you, for budget 1. 35k- any asus or lenovo laptop with 1220p processor, or ryzen 7320 or 7330. 2. 45k- same processor as above, but some of them give oled display in this price. 3. 60k- i would recommend samsung galaxy book 2, or acer swift 3, or maybe a lenovo yoga series laptop if you get some discount. Why? Because they will give you a piece of mind, the build quality is awesome, software support and multiple device integration features, cause i think at 60k , you should have all this. There are some asus laptops , which gives ryzen 7520 or 7530 and intel 1240p, 12500h etc , which are so so good processors, but when i used them they didn't performed as claimed for very long. For gaming , in same price segment, their aren't much options, basically just look for a 30 series nvidia gpu and high refresh rate display. Overall , i won't buy a gaming laptop in this price. For a really good gaming laptop you have spend around 90k or even 1 lac, for example asus Zephyrus is a good one, lenovo legion series, msi also have some options ,but msi good ones starts around 1.25 lacs. You can ask anything else. I would try my best. 😊

The only best laptop I think that is right now is the FrameWork, but they're just not selling them in India. The only MacBook that is good are the recent M1 and M2 ones and they have astronomical prices. Would also recommend looking for a Laptop with atleast Nvidia 30* series GFx Cards or Just wait a but more and get a newer laptop with the AMD 7000 series chips those are gonna be giving a tough competition to 2080-3060 tier cards because of their RDNA3 architecture. DDR3 is absolutely not okay, 1600Mhz is the max it goes, and that was a thing 10 years ago. Absolutely not worth it. - Me using 1066 Mhz DDR3 ; _ ; Edit : Typo
