Great video! Very interesting and informative to see the comparisons in size. Welcome, Luigi!

I had a red ear when i was a kid,we kept it in a kiddie pool with a basking setup. recently i rescued one from a park that i frequent, people who can't care for their turtles often make the mistake of releasing them in local ponds and lakes. Red ears are invasive to California, but i found a small baby and i took it home and got it set up in a 10gallon for now. Planning to move up to 50

Despite being a red-eared slider owner, I don't encourage people to purchase these turtles as pets. If they are committed enough to provide them with ponds or aquariums over 55 gallons, they still shouldn't purchase them and instead should search for people who want to surrender their turtles. Mud and musk turtles are a great alternative to red-eared sliders for smaller tanks.
