Thanks for that. Be careful with the drone. 1 you need land owners permission. 2 the bike tracks are in restricted air space so you really should log your flight. I flew my drone once in Rotorua and had this pointed out to me.

How long did you ride it for and what happened? My 1000 watt 160 160 E bike betrayed me and I have been out for a week and a half. But when it's on its on.

I know a lot of great Santa Cruz riders. In fact as I mentioned my friends still have them.

The shock was softer than I am used to but felt great jumping. Maybe a bit soft for climbing.

@@bestdayevermtb2 I have a medium and had to go down from the stock 450lb to a 350 as only weight 68kg. Out of interest how talk are you and weight. Just curious. Also did you set the fork to fox recommended settings. Hi from the UK 🙂

@@russc5269 I am 176cm and 95kg. The rear shock did feel quite soft but I didn't seem to bottom out and it felt good. A bit soft on the climbs although better when locked out. To be honest I didn't need to adjust the fork.

The Nomad is a really great bike. Several of the guys have had them and one of them still has the 26 version as a collectors item. Actually one of my favourite bikes I have ridden is the megatower.

I was looking at a mega tower because it’s cheaper than pivot and specialised 😂

This is a very tricky one as many of the E bikes don't seem to come in small sizes. This bike was a medium and actually fitted me ok. The seat post was too low in the test but that could have been fixed by removing the battery and freeing up some cable for the dropper. I am 5 10 by the way. My three favorite e bikes I have tested are the Bullit, The 2022 Levo and my KTM Prowler. One option to consider would be a Specialized Turbo Levo as this comes as an S2 size with a 432 reach that may suit you better. No matter how good the bike is, if it is too big you will struggle to throw it around. Good luck with your search. My wife is 5.0 and finding anything for her seems near on impossible.

@@bestdayevermtb2 thanks so much lance for the reply!! Previously owning 2 KTM‘s (dirt bikes) I was extremely curious to see what a KTM prowler was! Looks pretty cool! The “pedal” bike I’m currently riding fits like a glove… Which is a 2019 Santa Cruz Bronson Medium, basically the same size as a 2022 Santa Cruz Heckler small… the bullet slightly larger. Reach on my Bronson is 429mm and the bullet 450 ( small heckler 427). So is that difference significant??? Heckler small doesn’t come in MX which id Love to try as dirt bikes have been designed that way forever, small back larger front wheel… It just seems to make sense in so many ways. Unlike yourself, I haven’t had the opportunity to try many E bikes. My friend has an SWorks Turbo Levo, it was nice (for $17,000) but I actually felt more comfortable on my friends 2022 Heckler, which was “way” to big (size large). As for the Bullit, I would think you would enjoy a large better but maybe not on those delicious jumpy trials you have locally… AMAZING! Have you tried the Heckler? I guess it boils down to 427mm vs 450mm and a $14k spend Heckler non mx vs Bullit. Can you tell I like Santa Cruz LOL

@@kellipearson773 I have been offered a Heckler to test but it is not in Auckland so need to make that happen. Reach is a funny thing as 2cm seems insignificant. I have tested bikes from Med to XL and can ride them all. The bikes I rode 10 years ago were so much smaller than now. Let me know what you end up with.

I think the ktm climbs better. The bullit was a lot plusher in the rear and possibly the fork also which was great for jumping. Both cornered very similar.

I’ve got my KSL about a month and a half ago and I freaking love the thing. It’s not as powerful as my levo but that’s fine is it rides so much nicer

@@adamotheloanguy I have upgraded my Levo SL with Ohlins suspension (Front 170 air, rear 160 coil) and mulleted so I am pretty happy with it. We will have to see the Kenevo SL with its 10mm increase and Enduro suspension on the rear will make that much of a difference. I will definitely notice it in my bank account!!

That would have been the Heckler. I haven't tried one of those.

The battery can come out and be swapped with another. I have two Bosch 625 batteries and do this. I have thought about a carrier on the back for bike packing trips carrying battery on carrier. I must admit the owner of the bike just told me he is selling this bike and buying a Rail. Why? For more range.

The Giant is a good bike. You are right about Trek and Specialized having a big chunck of the market. Now I think about it you don't see as many Giants in all classes as you used to. Giant was huge 10 years ago if not the most common brand.

He also cases like every single jump. Not sure if review is joke or not.

You are just a baby. I am 52 and one of the youngest in our group. I had a nasty accident when I was 42 and it took me a long time to physically and mentally recover. I am now riding better and feeling confident. Just take your time and have fun.

Lol, you’re all babies… I’m a couple months shy of 71 and riding my new SC Bullit, which I did wait nearly a year for! BTW, I still have my Nomad 4 and V-10 (although I think this is the year I retire from the V-10 and bike parks)… keep riding, keep young!

Yes Skydio 2. Works best for me as I don't have anyone to fly a drone.

I assume 5 foot 10 so a large would be fine. But a medium would still work if you like a smaller, more manoeuvrable bike.

I will review any E bike I can get my hands on. Given nobody has demo bikes anymore I rely on people letting me borrow their new bikes. I do know someone with a new Focus but not sure they will let me ride it.

I agree with you regarding price of the bullit. More expensive than a trek rail with similar spec but the Pivot I reviewed was similar money and I saw a s works levo in the shop for $26 000 !!!! I do think e bikes are ridiculous prices when you compare buying a car or motorbike but I guess you want what you want.

Are you using the speedbox? Any issues?

I would say the ktm and bullit are a very similar weight.

Thanks for the feedback. Must admit the jokes was a bit tongue in cheek aimed at my Santa Cruz worshipping friends. I often forget how many people watch these videos who are not regulars to my channel and don't know my style of videos. I must admit I do like Santa Cruz bikes and especially now with their DH team. Greg Minnar, Jackson Goldstone, Laurie Greenland, Nina Hoffman and at the top Steve Pete. That has to be the coolest team ever.

Funnily enough I didn't real notice it riding but the gopro really picks up those sounds. E bikes in general seem much noisier than normal bikes.

I actually like the brand. Shouldn't make inside jokes on videos. In a recent video, Steve admitted to owning 6 of them and Zak 10. That is why I made the jokes.

@@MrSupermugen Had a look at video. Very interesting. Does make you wonder why none of the world cup DH riders ever put a 2.8 on their bikes. It simply can't be faster. Likewise the xc racers don't use wide tires. I know from personal experience when I went to Whistler the first time we had heavy double ply tires for the bike park but then swapped to lighter narrower tires for an adventure ride. The bike felt much easier to pedal with the smaller tires. I guess the question is, is it weight or width. I think bigger tires means more grip and better small bump compliance which means more speed on the downhill. I certainly like bigger tires on the E bike.

@@bestdayevermtb2 Tire squirm is the reason people dont run wide tires, many say narrower tires will hold its line better(eg tracks better) which i say id have to agree with. XC dont use them purely because of weight but in the UCI XC youll find a few do run XC treaded wide tires atleast at world championships they did. tread and compound effect it alot more, Weight is a factor but only when climbing.(basically) My assegai 2.6/2.6 dhr2 pedals better than my 2.5 dhf and 2.4 dissector. i didnt believe the video myself so hence trying them and now im a believer lol

I think you have always paid a big premium for a Santa Cruz which is sort of what I eluded to in the video. Definitely a down hill beast rather than a climber.

I think that is a fair accessment. They make good bikes but you do pay a premium.

Once you own one ,ride and work on it yourself u can see the value quality craftsmanship sc have great R&D ,support ,warranty and new bearings free whenever you want them then the things your eyes carnt see like great stability etc. Etc. Personally ill pay a couple more bucks for something that works .

Was a bizzarre review, basically says this is a good bike but the people that buy them are knobs. Any SC riders I know are just enthusiasts out for a good time. At the moment there's a lot going around of anyone who can afford (saved up for a long time) a premium bike is a lawyer or dentist. Any lawyer or dentist i've come across is not riding mtb's but driving around in amazing cars haha and good on them.

Geez guys just chill a little, the reviewer’s just teasing with his SC rider portrayals and being a bit of a wise-ass. I sold paint for a living and my son’s a transit system technician so no dentists, lawyers here and we’ve owned a succession of SC bikes over the decades as have many other SC riders we know. It seems the reviewer got to some of his easy targets and bruised their tender parts… maybe he should have included some Vagisil to ease the pain. At the end of the day, I get how riding a bike off by a size can certainly contribute to his issue with saddle height but that hardly invalidates an entire review.

@@douglashill3740 I like the cut of your jib. Mountain biking is about having fun with your mates and taking the piss out of each other and their bikes. If someone has a second hand 26 inch bike it would be very uncool to make fun of them. Turn up on a $20 000 bike and you are going to say "nice bike but why did you go for the ladies model" My videos are not for everyone but I am too old to change and refuse to be boring.

I must admit the video was meant to be comical. Many of my friends have or had Santa Cruz bikes but none of them are what you would call wealthy. In fact Santa Cruz is a very popular brand in NZ. I just like being a bit controversial at times.

You are not wrong. You are basically buying different frames.
