I really admire the honest review of this owner, because I bought kicks 1.5L NA this Jan2023, I know the advantages and disadvantages of the car. But when I saw my colleague bought this virtus and did test driving, i am surprised the build quality of VW. Because with Same engine, kicks is much better in terms of build, road performance , ride quality with virtus. I agree power is decent in my car, but not all the times we need torque. As far as mileage is concerned I am getting 10 in city and 13 on highway based on how much RPM you spin the engine. But as mechanical engineer and served in Mitsubishi car industry over a decade, VW virtus is disappointed in their quality. Once again I second owner honesty

I am really surprised when the owner compares a Jetta with a Virtus. Jetta is a next segment car - Octavia class. This is a 5 star rated car. It seems this video is biased. I own a Vento and I can say the build quality is not closer to mine. But as technology advances, manufacturers go for lesser weight cars with the same level of safety. Even Mercs of 2023 cannot be compared with the Mercs of 2010 or 2000 in build quality. Lesser weight means lesser emissions and better mileage. That is where the industry is going.

And Regarding handling don't compare the old Vento with the virtus, adhu Vera idhu Vera, but still compared to Verna, or ciaz or even to a city, it still retains the German DNA, plus Verna la yum 160hp turbo iruku.

I have city zxi 2017 and my very close relative have jetta DSG 2013. I drove jetta for minimum 1500 km and its really superb car ,but nowhere city is lesser than that. I’m not saying this because I have city . If you compare both ,expect build quality and pickup (2 liter engine ) city is more like jetta (smoothness and legroom ) and sometime city wins the card (mileage and maintenance)

one more fact turbo engines have reduced life due to higher temp and stress .. honda city engines are most reliable since they are NA and for an NA engine it gives good toughu to turbo engines .. and you can easil expect 15 to 20 years life from that engine ..and VTEC kicked in yol.

Exactly.. many fail to understand the longevity of NA engines when compared to Turbo .. Turbo engines can be considered by those who prefer higher performance, still I don't think there's enough roads in our country to thoroughly enjoy that performance. City's engine is a well balanced and suits more to our conditions. And in no other way it's less premium to the German brands.

Endha oorla Honda city la one liter kuduthanga one point, next yes build compromise is there in virtus, but still virtus got 5 star rating and a stable body in Latin ncap too, enna na they they have lightened the doors but structure la compromise illa, and interior build average, so old vehicle allavuku handling illa nu sollunga but don't bring in build in that. Next your 1.5 is 140hp and the 1 liter is 115hp three cylinder turbo and it's power is similar to the non turbo 1.5 NAs in its segment. So your 1.5 is more towards performance that's it. Eg a Verna 1.5 NA has only 113hp power. Honda city 1.5 NA is the most powerful NA in its segment with 119hp.

The 1.0 TSI is better than the 1.5 GT for city drives. The 1.5 GT, despite having active cylinder technology, turns off 2 cylinders in cities, which may not be suitable for long-term usage when 2 cylinders are deactivated. Additionally, the 1.0 TSI Topline features an infotainment system similar to the 1.5 GT, with only a few additional options available in the 1.5 GT that can be enabled from external markets. Speed tests on automobile KZfaq channels reveal minimal differences (3 seconds) between the 1.0 and 1.5. In my opinion, the 1.0 is a good option for city driving due to its quick pickup, turbo, and use of TC transmission instead of DCT. On highways, the performance is comparable, and spending extra for a 4-cylinder and DCT transmission may not be practical unless you consistently push your car to its limits.

He is absolutely right about 1.0 TSI in 2.0 cars that City is the best option... Slavia and Virtus are better only with the 1.5 TSI.. Verna Turbo might have too much power but it's suspension and steering is not great so Slavia and Virtus with 1.5 are the best for driving around the 20 lks range

After 2.0 the quality has declined I have seen it myself. It might be good in some aspects but there are so many issues for which the new cars had to be towed, brake and clutch parts replaced within few months of purchase.. 1L TSI engine is gem of engineering.. It is best of both worlds!! Performance and mileage goes hand in hand!! No issues in overtaking.. above 2000 rpm it shoots like a rocket.. But how often do you drive like a maniac.. I have thought this to myself went with 1.0 ltr Torque Converter which is reliable than DSG!!

For more ratings ,the structural integrity and passive safety features should be good....thats why it scored 5 stars without the older vw's strong build quality.....and with tech advancement going for lesser weight without compromise is common now...
