Pit boss refuses to replace my griddle top. said i used oil. oil cause sticking they told me.
@jimshadow92657 ай бұрын
You used oil!??? Practicly every thing you cook on this thing makes oil. Are they saying you can't cook bacon on it or it will void the warrinty because you used oil? either way, nonstick stuff is only nonstick for just a few cooks.

Thanks for the review and demonstration of the pit boss flat top. The only thing missing was watching you eating that burger. That burger was awesome. Gonna have to try one hopefully tonight

You may be damaging the cooktop by using metal utensils...non stick usually requires silicone or plastic

I purchased mine a year ago April of 2023. The ceramic cook plate started to rust and lost all non stick surface in the center. I initially reached out to customer service in January 2024 because the entire cage and lid developed rust all over it. Little rust flakes from the lid would flake off and get in the food. They told me its not covered but they would replace the ceramic cooking service. They checked and said they are moving warehouses and waiting for inventory from China and to call back. When i called back i got the run around one said they would replace the entire griddle and more photos were needed. I sent more called back and got a new customer service rep. She said the last call taker was new and i was not getting anything. Its no almost May and they have idea when the new ceramic cook tops are coming in. Save your self the money and "I told you not to buy it " from your wife and get something else.

Have the 3 burner...have found the less oil or no oil works best. I also never cook anything on high heat only cook on low or medium...oil is the killer to this grill ..avoid using any if possible...enjoy your videos.

After a while you need to do a deep clean with baking soda. That will remove the baked in oil and restore back to new non stick condition. There are videos that show the transformation back to new.

@@ScottysBackYardBBQ I see. did the non-stick coating break down and release from the core or are the oil/cooking stains not coming out? I’ll tell you that I had my own problems with pit boss. It took almost three months for them to send me a replacement part that was damaged in the shipping box. I couldn’t use it until the part came. No cool. Weber is a way better company with that but I wanted non stick.

One piece of cookware that shouldn't be in your kitchen is 'non-stick cookware.' Non-stick cookware lasts for one to two years, at the most, after that it ends up in the landfill. Always buy these three types of cooking surfaces: 1. Cast iron. 2. Carbon steel. 3. Stainless steel. All three just need to be seasoned to give you the same type of non-stick service as the teflon or other types of short-lived non-stick cookware do and will last forever. You just have to maintain them. This Pit Boss griddle has a non-stick surface that won't last for more than two years.
