Hey John; Ed here; You teach Paul struggling with sin using Romans 7. There are key witnesses within the chapter that refutes that.#1 Verse 5 ,," "For where we were after the flesh".. You use to be fifty years old but now your fifty five; but when you WERE fifty; means you no longer are fifty. Paul evidently is speaking g to them that know the law that are not after the flesh for when we WERE. BUT when they were after the flesh the motions of sins which are by the law did work in their bodies to bring forth fruit unto death. That what the law works in them that are after the flesh. Pre conversion Saul a Pharisee a teacher of the law thought the law was unto life; after his conversion ( via the Revelation of the Mystery unveiled to him) he realized the law was unto death verse 10, which also Ga.3::21 confirms. This belief was the heart pulse of Israel seeing Saul a teacher of the law being a Pharisee taught the same. For that reason they scoffed at Jesus as well. Now Paul said the law was spiritual but we? They were sold under sin/ enjoined to the law He.918-19. From verse 5:to 24 reveals his plight being after the flesh n under the law. Dear Pastor I love you and watch every sermon-over time- that is published on You Tube. I see that you are a "word smith" and use words that sometimes you must define for your audience. That is why it so distressing and and distracting to me when you describe the dimensionality of thing. Width is fine, length is fine, but when you say height, you pronounce it as -hythe-not -hite.I do not denounce for this. It is so common an error that I hear it everywhere. A ght ending of a word usually has a T sound not a TH sound. like "ought" or "bought". Please do not think me a small minded or picky person it is just that I've reached my limit and had to say something to an intelligent person like you. I hope you can forgive me. English is a tricky language.
