These episodes lead me to think this is NOT a children's show, rather a family show. Something for everyone, together. Everyone has flaws and makes mistakes... except Callypso. She is the Uncle Iroh here

OMG! You are so right! Calypso really is the Uncle Iroh of "Bluey". She is always there to help her students, giving them the right advice or just give a little push in the right direction. Not just that, but she doesn't tell them what to do, she lets them think for themselves and helps develop their imagination and creativity. Her impact on them is so positive that it makes me wonder if she doesn't have some kind of magic... There are even some theories that say that Calypso is actually a fairy.

I like how the show portrays Bandit and Chillie as parents. Like they're presented in a way that actual parents can learn different skills to maybe improve their own parenting, but they're not perfect either. They make mistakes, they adjust, it's made clear that finding the right balance to all the different parts of being a parent isn't easy and you never really have everything figured out.

As an person with autism, I can get sensory overload from stimuli others may not. Bingo’s reaction to the events of yoga ball really resonated with me. When I get overwhelmed, I just shut down, especially if I’m in public, and then I head somewhere alone and secure to cry. Also, Calypso is kind of a goddess.

I wouldn't know about that. On top of Aspergers Syndrome I also have ADHD. Both conditions have always clashed in me. Aspergers making me uncertain in new social environments while the ADHD pushes me to get out regardless. Unless I'm watching or playing something, I dislike being indoors. The coviid scare in 2020 was a real test for me...

Yoga Ball helped me implement some things with my own daughter. She knows that if we're playing and she says "Stop" I will stop immediately. We're still working on the reverse, that if I tell her to stop she should respect me too. I get to be her guide into the world and my hope is that she uses it in the outside world when and if she needs to.

So Calypso is supposed to be a teacher from what's called a Steiner or Waldorf school, which is a kind of alternative schooling system that places a lot of emphasis on helping kids develop emotional maturity, stuff like that. It's got some great points, but because it's not as regulated as Public schools, some of them can have a tendency to emphasise emotional learning over things like numeracy or literacy (which may explain why Bluey is 6 years old but still can't read).

Calypso is so sweet and a great teacher! It's nice seeing how she interacts with the kids, and at the same time gets them all to play together while also being able to play what games they want to. Bingo is a sweetheart so seeing her sad is difficult. Watching your reaction to her learning to use her big girl bark in regards to speaking up about when she's uncomfortable was wonderful.

Zamber, I am so happy that you finally got to meet Calypso. She is an amazing teacher who has a way with the kids that is almost magical. You will see what I mean in later episodes. And also... you got to meet more of Bluey's friends. TBH, that is not Bluey's entire pre-school class. There are still a few more missing... But now you know Indy, Rusty (my favorite), Pretzel and the Terriers (who are actually Schnauzers, but Terrier is their last name because they have a half-Terrier parent).

@@rekkariley652 They are considered to belong on the terrier group on the America (both US and Canada). But on UK, Australia and New Zealand they are not due to not having the typical traits of a terrier. But since they have terrier ascentry (Scotish Terrier to be precised; and that was confirmed behind the scenes), the triplets have Terrier as a last name.

Random fun fact: In the soundtrack, each child houses their own musical family, but as Calypso gathers the kids to play together, the different musical families combine together.

Calypso is one of my all time favorite Bluey episodes! I love how sweet she is and how she guides the kids to make decisions that benefit them, without straight up forcing them to do so. We stan.

I have a very specific scene in Yoga Ball I like. I like how they portrayed Bingo walking to the backyard from upstairs. Specifically when she's walking down the stairs. Maybe it's just me, but usually kids don't really pay attention how they're moving. When she's feeling sad and uncomfortable, she's moving slowly and looking down as she steps. Kinda like she's scared to get hurt. I may be reading too much into it but it's really well portrayed in my opinion. Good animating and good body language.

The show made me cry too. I had to be in the hospital for..... reasons and I was there for a week. They happen to have the disney channel. Bluey came on at like 4 am to 6 am.. I found myself watching it and crying half the time. After I got out of, I watched the entire thing.. and still watch it when I want to feel things.

yoga ball is one of my fave eps, it's really healing to see a dad recognize he's hurting his daughter even if he didnt mean to and apologize for it. my dad never gave a shit when he hurt me and always blamed me for it, always doing things that I told him I didn't like.

oh goodness no. it was 'monthly' at best. I'm trying to finish the "Live Action Avatar" and "Spy x Family" over the next month. Once those two shows are done, I'm hoping to be able to watch more Bluey again :) Bluey was on the poll for the new Cartoon Reaction, which would have put it on the weekly schedule, BUT sadly, it lost to Avatar the Last Airbender.

Do you know if you could do a bluey week like you did for miraculous (idk if you did it for other shows I only watch miraculous and bluey reactions) so you could get most of season 1 done pretty quick
