I think a lot are missing his technique. He lives it. He stated that most of his messages come from places he's had to walk through. Example; guilt, shame, abandonment. See yourself in the text. We can't stand on something we aren't willing to die for.

Here to a question for TD Jakes, if your teachings concerning a Ghost called God Almighty is the truth, why does it lead to the grave! If the wages of sin is death, what truth can there be in the words of your arguments if your listeners have no choice but to look forward to the grave? Don't you see that you're the foolishness that pleases God? For it is written, the foolishness that was preached to save those who believe, pleases God. Do you believe that the Father of wisdom and perfect love is the God that you foolishly promotes?
