A Filipino co-worker borrowed money from a bunch of co-workers ... He moved back to the Philippines and took off with people's money. Also many criminals could be hanging out in the Philippines. Definitely can't trust people easily over there.

I know some people clown on ABC but he actually offers decent advice and seems like a pretty nice dude too. Encountered him multiple times during my visits (as we all know, Angeles is a small place) and he's always friendly/smiley. Cheers ace

Ace reminds me of the good sergeants I had when I was a young guy in the US Air Force. They always gave solid advice that, if we listened, would keep us out of trouble and help us have the best experience. That's why I call him "Sarge".

Be sociable with other expats...no thanks. Too many culero expats in AC...I would say trust nobody. It is hot and humid 12 months of the year...one Xmas day in Subic it was 97 degrees...humid as hell. Philippines is only 1,000 miles North of the equator...too bad it isn't 2,000 miles North. Only place on earth I ever prayed for a snow storm...
