I hate those costumes scammers. I (almost) yearly go to New York to see family, and when I was traveling with family at Timesquare, we had to travel near a group of them. They were constantly trying to convince us to take pictures with them, and one of them touched my younger cousin (thankfully nowhere inappropriate), and I had to tell them to back off and rush my cousins away from them with help from my parents and other relatives. These scams work better in touristy places like Vegas because you have people who never experienced this or don’t know better. We experienced all 3 of these in Vegas and LA. Luckily she only lost $20 to the Marvel photo wannabe’s but they still got mad that she didn’t give them $50 instead of a $20. Like really you scumbags make so much money standing around taking photos. A $20 tip isn’t enough??
