My favorite player and the reason why I started watching NBA. It sucks that he got injured for two years now and will not play for next season. Ima be honest with you. They meaning they put on the position is stupid. Basketball is a free flown sport. You play however you want when you’re great. Saying a point guard has to create for others is nonsense. Cause it’s bigs who create for others better than the point guards and they are supposed to be back to the basket players right? Right. The game has to evolve and change to be better. These stereotypes on positions are just dumb in my opinion

John Wall will never be respected as an elite player because he's never won a big playoff series. If the Wizards had beat the Celtics in that game 7 a few years ago to advance to conference finals against LeBron it would have gave Wall and Beal a great platform to prove they are superstars
@Joe_Parmesan3 жыл бұрын
It's a shame because Washington doesn't win playoff games without Wall playing at an All NBA level. They only have one playoff victory without him playing at that level, and he missed the game after busting his hand. They've won games when Beal has played subpar, but, not when Wall plays subpar.

All the wall haters are doing him such a solid. The one time where wall kind of slipped for a bit was coming off of the 2016/17 record setting season he had. It was first time in his entire career that he was getting national love all over the place and getting his fair respect and ranked as a top 13 player. He blossoms under the cloud of doubt and slander. So I think this setback for him is going to rejuvenate that inner beast in him that lived to prove the haters wrong, posting their comments in his locker and wall etc. He’s just sitting back( this is from his mouth) and listening to all the shit people say about him. Acting like the contract he got was horrible from day 1 and not because of injury( not a single peep came out about that contract being bad until the injury happened. When he signed it int he summer of 2017 the only thing I legit heard about it was “should wall stick with the wizards?” Or “is wall going to recommit to DC?” Wall even took a week or so to sit back and think about the offer becuse at that time it was clear to the league that at the level he was playing at, he would get max offers from every single team that had a chance. He decided to stay in DC and try to continue on his promise to bring the wiz back to contention. Not a single soul said it was a bad contract until injuries. Revisitonst history) and filing away all the hate and slander people spewing and when he’s finally healthy, watch out. I was really worried about his career when this first happened. Then i saw all the updates on his rehab. Then I saw where his mindset was at. Then I remembered that this dude has averaged 20 points and 9 assists in his last 2 half seasons playing 80 perfect of the games he was able to play with plantar fasciitis, knee problems, ankle issues, thigh bruises, etc. my point is, if Wall was able to do the things he’s done while barely being able to walk after games( 19.9 and 10.2 in 2015 when he played the whole seaosn with a bone spur on his knee causing him to not be able to walk prior to and after games) then as long as he is healthy, losing a couple steps isn’t going to stop him from producing. Fully healthy AND himself athletically this dude proved he was clearly the best point guard in the east and 2nd best player in the conference. He was amazing and got even better in the playoffs. So assuming he is healthy but has lost a step or two, he should still easily be able to be at least an all star level player. He won’t ever return to fringe top 10, but he has found so many ways to be effective without his elite speed he’s already prapred for this. Oh also, it’s 2019 and guys are coming back from Achilles. Emmanuel Sanders anyone? We talking an NFL WR! And he’s jsut like his old self athletically. Walls also dunking already like 4 months ahead of schedule to even be training soooo. Ya lol. Who knows the future. But don’t riggt him off

It’s funny how many people don’t realize the number of players who are able to be great in the NBA who aren’t super fast. Wall has played many a seaosn where he was hurt and wasn’t able to only rely on his speed, and he’s still been effective. For wall, since he’s been older and an all star, his game hasn’t been just about his speed. That’s just been like a bonus. He thinks the game at such a high level and uses all sorts of deception to do what he wants. Lol he actually plays kinda slow. The last 2 half seasons he played he was hurt like all the time and still gave you 19.4 and 9.6 and 21 and 9. Wall gonna be good. His stats will be lower but only becuse he’s going to continue to let Beal be the main scorer ever more than before. Walls gonna be the general
