The easiest way for all of the translucent cartridges is just to look at the motherboard. Skip everything else. And whenever possible ask for the other cartridges to be opened.

easy way for all GBA pokemons that are see through, is a little golden looking window like shape you can see on the very left of the cartridge, while looking at the back of it. It's really just 4 rectangle golden pads that are very close to each other and look like a window. Sure way to tell with GBA Pokemons, because it's a sure mobo check without having to open it

Sometimes the knock off games are better because they don't use a save battery to save and instead use a modern method (usually flash carts) which means no save data corruptions.

Do these methods work for other types of GBA games as well? I am looking for an authentic copy of Digimon Battle Spirit for GBA but every listing I have found so far is sketchy at best.

No stamp is not a good way to tell if its a counterfeit cartridge though. Ive had my red and yellow games for so long now and the labels were so bad or almost entirely gone i replaced them and the replacement labels don’t have the stamp… They are still authentic game cartridges though.

Condition is probably best indicator if its real deal. counterfeit are often low quality and dont age well. if its well scratched up and has beat up look plus all the details mach up whit real game, so if it is listed as working condition its real deal.

I checked my Pokémon red and didn’t have the stamp but still worked perfectly

so the thing is. most of the ways in this video are shaky cuz it could apply to both real and fakes. i just had to identify my bro's gen 3 2 and 1 games and the real ones had the stuff that could have been fake and the fake ones had stuff that could be real. so these are the ways i checked them out. one way to check if it's fake for gen 3 is if u can migrate it to gen 4 it's a legit copy. thought try a few times to see if it pops up or not it can sometimes be finicky. for gen 2 and 1's there basicly the same steps. if it says "game" then "nintendo game boytm" on the top then it's fake. and also fake copies have the screws on the top on the back then on the bottom on the back. and i think use different screws then the ones shown in the vid for the fakes. and the last one is on the back saying "made in japan" if it says that it's one point into being a good copy bit i recommend checking the other steps. these are the easiest ways i have found to make sure it's a real copy for gen 2 and 1. for gen 3 thought sorry idk other then migration. this isn't to say the person is right or wrong cuz the ways shown in the video are legit ways of checking. i just wanted to provide more help on checking if they are or not. hope this helps!

This is one of those videos you don't know u need it untell u need it..I recently decided to get a cooler and some Pokémon games because I really miss the way they used to be as a kid...any way I picked up the special yellow Pikachu version...after watching this I understand why my game looks so new....I got a fake one. Pro tip: Don't buy too cheap games. English game under 10 bucks is 99.9% fake
