- To be clear I'm not comparing Sketch and Dr Disrespect. Mainly touching on the amount of negativity online currently and affirming my views.

I do not care who you are or what your background is. Don't be cruel to one another and protect those most vulnerable in society. Follow that simple ruleset and you'll always be accepted here.
My Reaction to the Sketch twitter explosion is simple - the dude has lived his life however he has lived it and harmed nobody while doing it. Your personal life has no bearing on my opinion of you. I didn't know who sketch was before this unfolded, all I know is that how some big names have spoke about him is deplorable.
You're accepted here, each and every one of you. Don't idolise the creators, the streamers, the youtubers you follow. We're not real.

I agree man, we all need to stop idolising content creators and just believe in ourselves. We can't just be saying "Top G" this or "IShowspeed did this" like its so boring and annoying to hear people ranting on and on about these big people in high places.

100%. Everyone's walking their own path, it's fine to enjoy people's content and company. But unless you know these creators personally, you shouldn't be so mentally dependent on them. When they do something awful or something that maybe butt's heads with your own morals it ends up causing distress it just shouldn't! I just wanna have fun and make silly stuff, sometimes I get super weird dms and it makes me worry about people's grip on reality >.

In Rome actors and entertainers were seen as trash, people who lies professionally for a living, because of this artists were only held in high regard when the art they made or performances they gave were of high quality Where as many teachers has students seeking them out and begging at their feet to become scholars or apprentices.

So long as we remember that the people we get entertained by aren't a real person in our lives beyond the content and value they bring. It's weird seeing people dying on hills defending people they've never met.

@@CapnbArMyLIVE What worse in my opinion is the people dying on hills defending companies cuz they buy their products. In my opinion the first people/ideas/things you should criticize are the one's you like or support. It's how you make things that you like better in my opinion

Agreed! In the same way you hold your friends accountable for doing shitty things, right? I turned down two brand oppurtunities recently because they wanted me to promote scummy products designed to take money away from users. If I can't stand over something, I won't promote it. Same with people :)

@@CapnbArMyLIVE For me I even go the extra mile and say make friends who call you out on your own shit. Friends who are yes men are bad friends. A good friend doesn't change you either, they hold you accountable to your own standards. I value kindness and if I act like an ass in a situation and my friends don't put me down for it, I get upset. Similarly if I upset a friend without realizing I want them to tell me I hurt them because that's the last thing I wanna do to a friend.

@@cameronheron8551 Great way to be. Everyone is susceptible to bad days and emotions running a bit hot - but it's your accountability after that holds you true and friends calling out your nonsense is a great way to ensure that!
