Thank you !!! GOD BLESS YOU !! Today I discover with your video a lot of "oil service" places don't have trained people. I own an Pontiac Aztec 2004 the dipstick dont have a "cold/hot mark" but when I measure the dipstuck with the car running m, the dipstick was totally dry when I pulled out. I went to a couple places and they told me my car was full. I could smell the ATF thru the vents and was doing an "UNUSUAL" noise as your video shows. Mechanics asked me to leave the car to check the transmission changing me $120/hr and all it needed was a proper reading of the ATF.

Got a weird knocking noise when in neutral, 1st, and second gear. 3rd,4th and 5th qre fine tho. Gonna try this first hope its ok.

Thanks for video. I got a Ford fusion like you. It was cold the other day and it started up but when I started accelerating it jerked then I would step on gas and it would rev up but not move. Plus the engine light is on all of a sudden. I'm gonna get some transmission fluid and hope for the best!

I would read the codes related to the engine light using a scan tool. It will give you a starting point for what's going on.

Should the transmission be cooled off and car not running to check the transmission fluid? The dip stick, it's hard to tell if the fluid is reading right on the stick or collecting fluid on the stick as it's going down or up for checking.

05 Lincoln Ls Transmission is delayed while in drive from a stop going into 1st gear. & When going to Reverse it slips temporarily but still allowed to reverse once trans catch up. Never messed with the fluids, I've put over 150,000 miles on it. But these issues just started happening yesterday as of this message. Other than that the car drives fine. Could this be low fluid, bad tcm, or bad trans solenoid?

Our car 04 corolla also has delays when putting in D and R. Can't move the car until it bites off

@@caldwell2253 yep, but still have a mechanic check it first. I am planning to bring my car to the service centre to fix this delay every time I put it on drive or reverse. I hope it just needs ATF change and filter (black color as i checked the ATF dip stick) and no problems in tranny.

@@dein1283I have a problem with my transmission the reverse gear stopped working and it decided when it wants to go into 2nd gear or I have to rev high in order for it to shift up.
