6:24 most people are probably familiar with the movie term Dutch angle. What some maybe don’t know, is that the name is actually a mistranslation of the word deutsch which is the German word for German, since this type of tilted camera angle was made popular through the early German expressionist cinema. Ever since I learned about this I’ve always wondered if maybe the English word Dutch is derived from a similar (probably much older) mistranslation, or if Dutch is the Dutch proper name and the confusion with the cinematic term just comes from the natural similarity of the two words…

17:34 This isn't gonna be a funny comment. It's just informative. I used to work for a photography company that catered to high school and college graduations. Yes... SOME high schools allow this, but it's odd to me that they didn't say the graduate's name. So that person most likely wouldn't have gotten their graduation photos because they can't be identified. 😭 In a different commencement, we ended up with someone dressed as Luigi and that one Resident Evil mom everyone thirst for. I've seen others too, but I don't know where they're from. It's by no means a common thing.

6:25 As a Netherlander, I understand the confusion. Dutch in our language (or Duits) refers to Germans. Similarly, Germans refer to themselves as Deutsch. Not sure why the English keep referring to us as German, like they changed the name for the actual Germans but not ours? We're not, we're from the Netherlands. It's odd, it's confusing. Don't blame us, blame the English.

Why you don't like Canadian geese?

Lots of potential reasons - They're too big, there's too many of them in a flock, they aren't scared of humans and live REALLY CLOSE to buildings with ponds, and they get loud and chase people during nesting season - which is summer when more people are outside walking around. Poop all over sidewalk, and since they are big, there's more of it to step in. Their loud honking is annoying. They have lil teeth inside their beaks, so their bites hurt. They waddle very slowly across roads, certain cars will stop for them, so they cause traffic jams and road rage. In North America, they are legally "migratory birds" so we legally cannot trap or cull them. So we just have to live with them and THEY ARE SMUG ABOUT IT. Peafowl would be even worse - they are even louder, even bigger, and their beaks are SHARP. Sometimes you'll hear about neighborhoods menaced by peafowl, and it's legit. Birds get meaner as they get bigger, and humans are NOT GOOD at leaving big animals alone...
