You can’t force a kid to like anyone. They made his birthday look more like a seance than a party. And honestly I would be ticked off if someone tried to blow out my candles at a party that was for me. That’s like stealing his wish. It’s tripped out how no one considers the kids feelings at all, he is simply expected to go with the flow. Of course he will lash out.

The father has no idea of the pain he is causing his son for taking a mistress. 😭

So the mistress says she loves him and that is supposed to make up for the pain that they've caused his son. She's so selfish, she isn't even trying to reassure him that his son will be alright eventually, she's so narcissistic. But this man deserves every horrible thing that happens to him, it's just sad that he had to ruin his ex wife's life in the process.

I have no words that would leave his wife and son for a mistress that lied to him to break up his family. 😡 The father makes me sick. He’d choose that mistress over a 16 year marriage. I hated the ending.

He is only now realizing how much it has emotionally affected his own son when comes to his mistress and his affair has destroyed his son's family life. He had never once gave thought on how his own horrofic actions would affect his own son. 😢

I've watched this little actor even in his younger years and he just keeps on being more impressive with each role he plays. A future star is on the way in the adult world of actors. Great story.

I HATED the ending!! I felt like his karma became the ex-wife's karma as well. The writers totally disrespected the ex-wife with the ending. (SPOILER - STOP HERE!!!!!) The little boy already like her new man. They could have gotten married. He would have gladly helped her get care takers for the ex-husband. It was so unfair to the character of the wife. Her suffering continued as the mistress ran back to the husbandshe had in the US. It made you feel watching the entire series was a waste. Even the ending with her sister. I never understood how her ex-husband got that mad at her for misunderstanding about him and the ex having a child. He's the one who put his ex-girlfriend's care and needs in front of his wife's. Even after his own parents asked him to stop, he refused. How could she not think that he crossed the line with how adamant he was about taking care of his ex.

Kids aren't stupid. Ximao doesn't know what happened but he knows Qin Shan hurt his mom and made her unhappy, he also knows his dad is at fault but it's his dad and he loves him. The father would've and should've done something just the two of them. Why would you bring the GF with you to your kids birthday party, the first one he's spending without both his parents. I wouldn't want anything to do with Qin Shan either and dad should be happy I even came because I'd be so ticked off with him. And then all the pent up emotions came out. People don't realize what they're throwing away when they do stuff like this. It's not just that they destroy their marriage but the actions also hurt the children. If he was going to cheat he should've been prepared to face the consequences of his actions, the potential loss and perhaps loss of your child's affection because that could've happened as well. The father is just such an ass, I really, really disliked him and the GF.
