Marie Claude Pietragalla in one of her finest performances, choreographed for her by Carolyn Carlson. Stunning. 1993 performance, maybe 1995 I can't remember but if the first 3 minutes don't pull you in...something must be wrong.

I can feel it like the music tells me about a girl from birth to death. The struggles.. The harsh reality of the world. Depression love emotions, the fear of losing someone.😢

I never even considered what the scenario was or is. I I'm so hypnotized by her involvement with the music you know what I mean? I'm glad you like seeing it

@@fatovamingus and @lmanoooob645 Let me just suggest this, can't help it. CC choreographed this masterpiece to Marie-Claude inspired by some poems by Fernando Pessoa (Google it, you won't believe what you'll find), namely a poem called something like "I do not want to remember nor to know myself" (then you Google again, Ricardo Reis and Fernando Pessoa). Feel the human case and the poignant existence of this human being. Believe me, it won't destroy your idea of the birth, life and end of a woman's life. But it may be it will add light on human suffering, bordering, of course, mental health. Depression as you said it and may be so much more... I'll wait for your feedback 💐

makes me want to get out my "real" clothes and be who I once was...This is amazing- I love that I can see the classical training and maybe a little Maurice Bejart? and or Twyla Tharp and maybe mime Marcel Marceau?... Rusty on my dance knowledge obviously. You can fill me in if you have time on her influences etc. So sorry I never opened posts. Rectified now. Thanks for posting I will watch and re-watch this piece many times... Namaste Z.

Pietragalla was a prima in Paris, a Chosen One (fantastic) and her own company is great BUT this was choreographed by Carolyn Carlson who have been influenced as you write
