This was fascinating. I’ve always wondered why some outfits did isn’t feel right. I tend to lean more of a monochromatic look. I feel most comfortable in soft shades of the same color family. Now I now why. That means I’m low contrast I think. Thank you.

I do that with all my paintings. Correct contrast is more important than color! I painted a grey pit bull in red yellow and blue and is one of my favorite paintings.

This could be helpful if I could understand what you are talking about with contrast. I have very light skin with white hair and blue eyes so I don’t think I should wear dark colors. But other than that it’s all I can figure out. If someone could give me an idea I would be grateful. ☺️

My guess is you are like me and medium. So you would mix a medium strength colour in with a dark one or light one to balance your look.

Wouwww- very interesting ❣️ Recently, I asked for help with my eyebrows (the color seemed to get lighter) and I was very surprised of the effect having a bit more color back. Now I can understand why. I love high contrast (always did) and when a detail such as eyebrow’s change something seems to be missing - the contrast seems to fall out of balance. Thank you for this unexpected explanation💖

Agree totally about contrast in all items u try to read is deliberate on food items, sometimes on price tags so yes also coulers of skin eyes hair cloths put to gather properly will look much better, iv bee gray since 38 and never dyed it so got used to couler contrast from a young age for all lat coming to gray for one reasion or another it is the couler u are ment to be so it sutes much better so enjoy it

I'm soo glad someone else mentioned this.. I'm long sighted, so I now have 2 keep a magnifying glass with a ring light effect round it in my kitchen cutlery drawer for reading the small print on jars & labels.. Another thing that's very difficult (& maybe this is only me) is white writing on a white background, so I can spend ages looking for the mouse pointer on the computer.. grrr 😡 very annoying..

Interesting. That’s a little complicated to do, so I’m glad I had a colour consultation years ago and was told I’m muted . I’ve got much lighter hair these days so probably am medium now.

Just to say re: your hair colour it looks much nicer & softer on the whiter/silvery side on your right side, compared to the more steely harsh grey on the left.

Odd as its all natural. No colour in it. The white grey is where my hair was red prior to going grey. Apparently red tones go whiter.

Interesting but sorry, I'm confused . You said low contrast should use colours next to each other on the colour wheel but the arrows were pointing to blue and orange which are opposites 🤔 . I'm perhaps being a bit dim.

It is next to each other on colour wheel for low contrast. There may have been a slight timing issue on slide as opp is high contrast

Sorry, but don’t like these colabs. It could have been interesting what you were saying, or intended to within your vlog. I didn’t get to the end of that because it went straight into the collaboration and was going on for a while. Switched off at that point so never saw any more. Shame really xx

If you look at timings in the description you will see where it restarts and just click on it but 6.43 is the restart on how to use contrast.
