John from www.discountjuicers.com/ shares with you the best way to make nut milk using a juicer, and it is NOT LIKE all the other influencers on KZfaq Show you.
SAVE $55 off John's Favorite Juicer for fruit: The Nama J2 by using coupon code NUTMILK55 at Namawell.com. Order at www.bit.ly/j2juicer
John will share the best technique he has learned to make nut milk so you don't make "nut water" but instead a creamy and thick nut milk where you get the maximum extraction out of your soaked nuts.
You will learn why John believes making nut milk like most influencers show is not that smart because you end up using more nuts than you need to and end up wasting food as you are not extracting the maximum nutrition out of the nuts, and end up with a "nut water".
You will learn how John makes the thickest, most creamy nut milk by using the Nama J2 Juicer and a Vacuum Blender with Soaked nuts and water.
You will learn why only using a juicer to make nut milk is not a good idea, because the juicer is unable to fully grind up the nuts and extract the most nutrition as a vacuum blender can.
You will see a comparison of making nut milk the "traditional" way that is normally shown to people that make nut milk using a juicer, and you will learn how it compares to John's method of making nut milk.
You will discover why vacuum blending your water and nuts first before putting it thru the juicer is the best way to make nut milk in the Nama J2 juicer, and how the Nama J2 Juicer can be used to extract your nut and water blended mixture without you having to do any work.
You will discover why using the Nama J2 Juicer to extract your nut milk is better than using a nut milk bag to squeeze out the nut milk.
Finally, you will see a comparison of the pulp that was made by "juicing nuts and water" or by using the Nama J2 Cold Pressed Juicer to extract the nut milk out of the vacuum-blended nut and water mixture. John will also taste-test both nut milks and share his thoughts with you.

2 questions. Since i have a vitamix and do not have the vacuum blender, does it still benefit of blending and then putting it through the juicer. Also making it this way, do i still need to use the nutmilk bag?
@usewisdom2
@usewisdom2 Жыл бұрын
@@higherheightsmelaninmagic2772 yes that's why the vitamix does not really juice well because it does not get rid of all the pulp and you still have to strain it. So imo it's obvious it'll be same for nuts.

If you add a pinch of salt to the nutmilk, it actually tastes like milk. Even better, I have to say. You can use any kind of nuts for nutmilk, but with almonds it may taste best. Hazelnut-milk tastes almost as good for me. It may come down to personal taste buds which nuts are best.

Thank you so much, John! This is massively eye opening!! I will definitely blend the nuts and water before juicing in my Nama J2. I used to do the nut milk bag method, then I got a Nutramilk machine, which I do love. But now I will try this way. I don't have a vacuum blender, so hopefully the regular old Vitamix blender will be ok for this, but I will certainly blend before making the milk in my J2! ~Evan

another fabulous off the charts post John. I've made almond milk in my dynapro vacuum blender and it is outstanding. it looks as though the idea of this video is that using the NamaJ2 instead of the Alexa nut milk bag will allow people who are squeamish about using a nut milk bag to try to get every last ounce of nutrient out of their produce. I have two questions. One is, do you feel that this extraction using the J2 yields more nutrition than squeezing the Alexa bag by hand? and two, that new pump on the blendtec vacuum blender, is it sucking out significantly more o2 than the dynapro? and does it do a better blending job since I understand that that particular blender has dull blades instead of short blades? some kind of a strategy that Tom Dickson had when he was making those machines the faster dull blade was better than a sharp one. I didn't quite understand what he was saying but you might get it. anyway I think the question here is does that blendtec I can blender do a better job than the dynapro?
@discountjuicers
@discountjuicers Жыл бұрын
My answers: one: the milk made with the nama is not as "fine" as using alexas bags. So there is more 'fine pulp" in there, so it will be more thick. More nutrition? prob a little less due to more air being circulated into the nut milk when using the Nama J2. It also has more fiber. two: I have not done dynapro vs void systems lid test yet. I have compared the void-systems to the biochef which I have compared to the dynapro. I believe they all pull about the same vacuum, within a point or two of each other. I dont agree with tom dicksons dull blade model. That is a weak point of the blendtec blenders, and when he was still in charge of the company, I was inching him over to offering a sharp blade, even just ifor me and my customers :) In rate instances a dull blade can be more efficient - ie: dry goods. Keep the dynapro :)

Hey John, do you recommend a Blendtec blender w/ motor base for people who either have the Void vacuum lid or want to get the Void vacuum lid? I was thinking perhaps the Designer 650 might be the best option based on what I've seen so far. Mainly, I'm just trying to avoid the BPA of the Void blender carafe and I also want to get a really good motor base to go with the BPA free Blendtec jar. Thanks.
@discountjuicers
@discountjuicers Жыл бұрын
Honestly, I would find a cheap refurb blendtec motor base and save money. While the designer is more "powerful". I have not seen a difference myself in the actual blended mixture. The only exception may be if you are blending super thick mixtures, the designer may be better.

Since you are into sharing the best ideas I was wondering if this process of blending first would be a good idea for leafy greens as well like tender herbs and baby spinach with just enough water? also why hasn't a juice press been an option for any style juicer? I'm thinking a reciprocating mini press that will intercept pulp as its shooting out or just a stand by press that adds a step to the final outcome. not my job but yours to make it happen.

Hi John, I want to take this opportunity to thank you for all of the inciteful and informative juicing videos that have been a blessing in my life. I must admit that I too often forget to click "Like," however, I have not viewed any of your videos that I did not like. My question is, Based on your recommendation,I purchased the Tribest Dynapro Vacuum blender, and the Omega Nc800 Juicer. I noticed that you used the Nama J2 to make nut milk in the video you published yesterday. Can I use my Omega juicer (after using my Dynapro Blender) to get the same fatty rich, and thick nut milk that you demonstrated. It seem as though the liquified nut milk blend would quickly run through my blender without being processed. Should I just take the blended mixture straight to a nut milk bag, or can you suggest a way to use my Omega blender? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Thomas
@discountjuicers
@discountjuicers Жыл бұрын
Horizontal Juicers are not "optimal" for making nut milk, as it will let ALOT of pulp into the nut milk" due to the 1st stage screen. Vertical Juicers are best for making nut milk, although twin gear juicers can also work. Sometimes the mixture is too "soft" for it to work thru a juicer correctly. The best is if you use your dynapro vacuum blender and then purchase alexas nut milk bags www.alexasbags.com/ instead of using the NC800. I generally recommend a nut milk bag OVER the NC800 and other horizonal juicers for making nut milk, although they are advertised that "they can do it".

The Nutramilk is just soo easy to use and clean; just drop all the parts into our dishwasher. Great nut milk and easy to adjust the strength that suits you. The almond butter is great also.

What about if you have a vitamix? Can you get a vacuum extractor for it??

Very interesting. I have a question about producing large quantities of nut/seed milk....specifically pumpkin seed milk. I'm looking into ways of easily processing around 4kg of pumpkin seeds at a time. When soaked it'll obviously be nearly double that. I've tried a few different methods. I've Used a muslin cloth, but that's such a laborious way of doing it for such a huge amount of product. I've even bought a soy milk pulp separator from China, but it doesn't work well with pumpkin seeds. I then tried blending the seeds first and putting it through the machine, but too much pulp leaked into the milk. I've also tried lining a cider press with muslin cloth and pouring the blended mixture in to press the liquid out. It worked until the the pressure became so great that pulp started squirting out the sides. My question is, do you know if there are any large juicers that can deal with this volume of seeds and pulp, extracting as much protein and fat as possible and extracting as much liquid as possible from the pulp? TIA.

Thank you this is interesting. Can I do this with a vitamix then put it in a nama?

We do because that is what we have - Vitamix and the Nama J2. After we are finished with the Nama J2, we pass through another 2 cups or so of warm filtered water (we use homemade distilled water) with the spout lid closed, and run it for a bit, then drain, and then we get another 2 cups of weak almond milk we use to add to oatmeal to cook in. Almonds are expensive so we "milk" every bit of what we can get. We also add to our almond milk a pinch of salt, vanilla extract, and some Erythritol/Monk Fruit mixture, or Stevia, to taste. Also, there is supposedly a vacuum seal lid for the Vitamix, which we don't have yet.

How can we use a vanilla stick to add natural vanilla flavor to it so it will taste like the processed vanilla almond milks found in stores?
@discountjuicers
@discountjuicers Жыл бұрын
The best way would be to vacuum blend in a whole vanilla bean into the FINISHED almond milk you make. This way you get the maximum vanilla flavor. For less strong vanilla flavor, you could vaccum blend vanilla bean with soaked almonds and water before you put it thru the Nama J2 Juicer (or nut milk bag)

Hey John can you use this same process but with a horizontal greenstar juicer? Or is it not recommend on a horizontal to blend the nuts with water first?
@carolynwheeler7651
@carolynwheeler7651 7 ай бұрын
I use this same method with my Vitamix and my Omega horizontal juicer and it works. You just have to be careful to pour the blended nut and water mixture very slowly into the horizontal juicer so that it doesn’t overload the juicer chute during the process. That being said, I have just ordered the Nama J2 and will be using that in the future instead of my horizontal juicer.

Awesome John, although more expensive, it's more efficient than using a blender and then straining it via a nut bag. Thanks man.

I don't have a good blender but I have a grain mill. I'm going to try grinding my grain first then using the J2 after. This should have the save effect as this method don't you think??
@discountjuicers
@discountjuicers 7 ай бұрын
I would invest in a blender :) Grain mills are not designed to process higher fat content nuts and seeds that are normally used to make nut milk.

Use a blendtec with the twister jar. Make nut butter. Then I add about 3tbs to about a Mason jar worth of water. Salt, vanilla, viola. You can strain if you want but I don't care about the pulp.

How does the almond milk produced by this method compare to that produced by the Nutrimilk? Thanks for the video, John.
@discountjuicers

The nutramilk makes nut milk even MORE creamy and rich, and extracts more than the Vac Blender + Nama J2. That being said, I prefer the VAC blend + Nama J2 method, myself due to less oxidation of the nuts. Of course, the Nutramilk does not produce as much waste. Every method has its own set of pros and cons!

Using the nutmilk bag, I think, is probably a little bit more efficient than using the juicer as well as time saving.

Are there any good studies showing how much of the nutrients are left in the pulp from either method? I can't find any detailed information about mineral content in RAW almond milk. I'm almost wondering if it's better to use the first method and make almond flour or some other product from the pulp.
@discountjuicers
@discountjuicers Жыл бұрын
I have not come across one. the nutrients remaining in the pulp depends on how the nuts were ground. The more finely they are ground, the more nutrients and fat are extracted. The 2nd way I should would be better to make almond flour, because we are extracting the fat and only the fiber remains. Using the nut pulp from the first technique would make more of a "nut meal" as there would still be considerable fat content in the pulp, which may (or may not) be desired. Most nut flour you would purchase is defatted (so like the 2nd way)
