In their defense, Virgil is a pretty big guy. I only saw one live match where he played for The Netherlands, and he's a giant even when you look from the other side of the stadium. Imagine having him right in from of you looking all angry. I'd be on my way.

@@Sarge80 Your frontline was always weak. Do you know why? Because for that skill is required. Your defenders are also weak. Putting up some tall guys and blocking opponents physically is not defending in football. Also, you won Euro championship ages back. Just once! That doesn’t really count. You have to get some skillful footballers, not street hooligans from Rotterdam. Also you need a good coach, unlike the current one who talks too much and executes too less.

@@mariaschukariova3438 Surprisingly enough, he did NOT get a yellow card for this (or any of the 17(!) given during that match for that matters). It was shown he got yellow during the live feed, but it was later rectified that it was for someone else (Berghuis if I remember correctly)

And right after a shot at the dugout that could've sent someone to a hospital. People underestimate how dangerous that isbecause they see players head the ball all the time. But receiving a ball to the head at that speed without bracing yourself or being in position can literally break your neck.
