Park metal detecting a Tot Lot with the Minelab Vanquish 540 & XTerra Pro metal detectors from start to finish with no editing! How did we do?
We had a good time hitting this tot lot and not turning off the camera. Had a few good finds and I scored the final ring of the year!!!

Gotta love metal detecting 🤗. My morning outing actually produced a 1971 Eisenhower dollar along with a nice bling ring and a pretty locket! One of my better years with $213.52 for the year and one day left. Wonder what I'll be blessed with on new years eve 🤔. Happy detecting everyone - best wishes to all for a great new year

Well I’m gonna say Christine won that hunt! Christine has mastered the Canadian attire. We officially retired our bottle digging shovels for the winter. Hoping to start doing metal detecting soon. Unfortunately we have snow at the moment.

Thanks... we were gonna hit a bunch of parks but Christine needed some rest so we decided to just let it roll... not sure at the time if we were going to do well but it was a decent amount of stuff this time. That park is hit and miss.... Happy New Year!!!

Hey guys, the Vanquish 540 that's the type that my husband and I have, we love it. Happy New Year Guys! I can't believe this is New Year's Eve. Hi Christine & Bill that was a very interesting hunt because you showed how things can be missed by going over where Christine had been and still finding things mostly foil but it could easily been a necklace or gold ring, I have to say Christine did extremely well today. She got stuck in and found lots. The football shield looked very cool. Happy New Year to you both and everyone. Thanks for the amazing 2023 and all the videos posted. Hi Bill, If you are searching under metal playground equipment, turn your sensitivity way down until your coil doesn’t pick up the metal ABOVE it. The coil will still pick up shallow targets immediately below it. However, if the equipment is too large you won’t be able to get away from it unless you’re running a 5” or 6” coil. The number 50 is mist likely the Dodgers’ outfielder Mookie Betts. I’m a Giants fan in Northern California, and even I know who he is 😁 I’ll bet you are a football fan😉

The funny thing is that I watch the sports but don't pay close attention if that makes sense. On the other hand my brother can name every player, including stats.... we are not alike...haha

I forgot the name too.... it butts up to that school and is tiny. I try to hit parks with about a month between visits in a perfect world. Happy New Year!!!

I try to understand why you wont say a name of a park or show basically where you are. I know from past experience that folks can see a vid on line and basically clean a park. Example: I made a friend while hunting a park you hit once in awhile. I got there and started the tot lot. She followed me around the whole time' Always asking questions. The tot lot was clean. I made the comment that someone has been here. She said yes 3 of them and they were everywhere. They may have been here but the park will replenish itself. It shouldnt take long. Its a popular park. Parks even the less popular parks will always replenish.

Thanks...you made me laugh. It would. not be the first time I forgot to turn on the pointer. Another funny fact is if you bump the Vanquish just right it shuts off. I can't tell you how many times back when it was new, I would be detecting only to discover it had shut off for who knows how long...I would think... wow no targets...haha. Anyway, was fun and always a bonus to have C with me... Happy New Year!!!

This is very interesting the different ways to videoed your hunt. So this is just my free observation and view and that's what it is worth. . I find that your last video I watched more closely to the video numbers tones and finds. Watching your every movement. Where as this video. I listened more than watched, but when I heard a target it drew my focus back to the video and watch the target dig. In both were very entertaining. Conclusion. In my opinion they are equally enjoyable. Humorous and Technical. Both Worthy of being Great and entertaining videos and hunt's. Always Thumbs Up 👍 for anyway you spin it Happy New Year. Thanks . I did a quick hunt this morning in a local,park and some jerk had dug junk targets and left the junk and a mess all over the park. It’s a pretty park too and it makes me so angry that people jeopardize our opportunities by making a mess.

Thanks. It was a fun way to do it that is for sure. I usually will search the entire area around the actual tot lot but we were already getting a little long on this one. I like to imagine where I would sit if I was there watching my kids play... good perspective to reveal hunting spots.

Thank you very much and I really want to do the underwater detecting. Not scuba although it would be so cool... just not trained. But Brian (BHiggles) has a system and I have seen it elsewhere... I think it is called the Nemo... I can't see using it in the ocean here... but lakes and rivers would be cool.

I personally like the complete hunts. it's not just find and show. With that said.. Christine were you in videos a few years ago? I noticed when you check your pinpointer you check it on your backside to see if it works? Were you in the exercise videos buns of steel because it sets off your pinpointer? lol You two really do a good job of playing off each others personalities keep up the great video's!!
