I so wish I would have known about this when I was college aged many moons ago, at the time, my birth country provided super affordable higher ed. as compared to US, I paid and still pay 10x the cost. I got a decent ed. and love my college and friends from there, but from a return on investment point of view, and maybe a "broadened horizons" pov, I missed the boat.

@@SaltyShaman yes he has proven to be an honest leader unlike the rest of the world leaders. Looking at the direction the US is going these countries may soon switch crime numbers making El Salvador much safer than the US.

I used to live in Colombia. I would recommend you look at Ecuador and Colombia as well. Much safer in my opinion! Good luck to you!

There is lots of advice given in these videos that can be implemented by folks who aren't seven or eight figure people. Just because Nomad Capitalist has that as their threshold for who they will work with, doesn't mean you can't get it done on your own if sufficiently motivated.

@@torontovoice1 Depends on your motivation for leaving. If it's primarily taxes then a lower income earner would stay put. But if it's freedom (the peace quotient) then a lower income is not a barrier. As an example it's relatively easy for many folks living in Canada or the US to get a resident permit in a place like Mexico. I have friends who are doing that now. And that is just one of a number of examples.

If there is any take away from Covid for most people who work in offices, it is that the commute they used to do to go to the office is largely redundant, and that they can pretty much live and work anywhere there is a sufficiently good internet connection. Particularly when you consider that a very average home or apartment within a half hour or less drive of the Sydney Australia CBD is now the equivalent of approximately a Million USD - a house on the beach at Puerta Vallarta Mexico, or Phuket Thailand, for less money and less living expenses, looks really good. This is in part why I am suggesting that there is perhaps a bigger market than only 7 and 8 figure entrepreneurs, and that perhaps a spin off to cater to that market might be a good idea....

If you live in Australia or Canada - your trust in government, if you have been paying attention, has reached an all time low, and your health, wealth and freedom are very much under threat. We are seeing a wave of professional and Olympic level athletes dropping dead, dropping mid match, or dropping out of their professional sports due to pericarditis and myocarditis in increasing numbers here in Australia, and pregnant mothers losing unborn babies, after taking drugs that particularly state governments, with federal government encouragement and assistance, have been trying to effectively make mandatory to take, to have any semblance of a normal life. How the Canadian government has been seizing and shutting down bank accounts, cancelling licences, registrations, and insurance policies, to take away the financial and business lives of people protesting against it in Ottawa is a matter of public record. As is putting Christian pastors in jail for running church services, and continuing to provide charity by feeding and clothing people in need. Similar threats have been made against Australian churches and charities for having the temerity to continue helping people who need it - however there has been serious push back that has stopped the worst excesses of Canadian overreach being replicated here.. The fact that your business can be shut down in a heartbeat by state governments in Australia, at the whims of an unaccountable, un-elected public servant's advice, which is never actually disclosed or discussed, has sent a large percentage of Australian hospitality, entertainment and tourism businesses out of business already. Which is only the tip of the iceberg about how people's freedoms have been abused here. Pregnant women have been arrested in their pyjamas for Facebook posts, criticising state government, and wanting to protest. Grandmothers thrown to the ground by police officers and pepper sprayed on the ground for peacefully protesting at a rally. We were largely under house arrest for months, had limits on how far we could travel in our own cities. We had to tell the government every time we visited anywhere or have an app on their phone tell the government all of your movements. - which was hacked three times in my own home state of NSW alone. Nothing says safety and security, like having criminals know your every move! We have had state borders closed for years preventing travel interstate. Double jabbed provably well people not be able to attend sick relatives who were dying in hospital because they were living in another state, who then needlessly died alone - and then their interstate friends and relatives were not allowed to attend funerals. Fly in, fly out mine workers who had their home and family interstate, were kept captive behind state borders away, from their families for YEARS. Draconian rules that are now in place in the form of 'emergency powers', that turn our country from a western democracy back into an open air prison colony, can all be reinstated in a heartbeat, if some public servants and an Australian state Premier pushes the panic button. The heavy handedness, brutal authoritarianism, and dishonesty of both the Australian and Canadian governments has been on full display now for a while - and does not look like it is about to change any time soon.

@@donpaul1355 I understand. its all about perspective. Holding property is also seen as an investment that can be liquidated. Also, you can have short term tenants in them until you decide to move over and use the property. We are now in a times where holding savings in a bank its just as risky as leaving it to chance in the markets. Afraid I'm no billionaire. probably more minimum wage salary range. However, I do take in interest in economics and the bigger picture. Does seem, if you're not in that special club, they're going to hit everyone both rich and poor from every angle until they 'own nothing'. Capitalism is only for the special club. its the communist people management system for the rest of us.
