I recommend you state the date you're posting the video in the commentary. I'm seeing this 2 yrs after the fact and things have changed... The travel times stated between Toronto to Oshawa and Hamilton are about half of actual times in 2023. Housing and rent prices stated are low compared to now. I think you're making good picks, though.

Useful info... I moved to Toronto from UK in the 70,s I like the GTA have worked for multi-national companies that took me to the Caribbean now retired worked in Medical Engineering and did Technical services in all the cities you listed.

There are other important factors which should be considered as well: (Source Numbeo for crime rate & Google for insurance) (higher crime rate is proportionate to higher car insurance prices) Oshawa: Crime Rate - 52%, Car Insurance - ~1800 p.a. Hamilton: Crime Rate - 53%, Car Insurance - ~1900 p.a. Rest all 3 cities are minimum 2hours (to and fro) from Toronto which it too far

Finally someone with some sense. Southern Ontario has gone insane when it comes to cost. Sudbury is not a bad town, but I would favor Sault Ste Marie. The Finns and Russians seem to prefer the Sault as well and it is about 20% cheaper than Sudbury. Plus it's split by the US/Canada border which gives you a little more variety of stores than the normal Canadian monopolies.

Rent is much more affordable in Montreal, but you need to get used to living among the french and the cold snowy winters, it's a good city with lots to offer but lots of road construction year after year is the worst part of it, it's a very diverse city with about 1.2 million people in all

London, ON is great, mostly reliant on manufacturing and agriculture sectors. But its quite far away from Toronto (about 2 hours one way). Hence, its not featured in this video.

@@DreamCanada Thank you! I will be going to Canada on study permit this September. I would like to know if my mother can also accompany me for the initial 1 or 2 months. She's working in the government sector in India so she will definitely have to return back. If she can accompany me, what process do I need to follow ? Many thanks in advance. 🙏🏻
