They are using the same sound assets for the guns so that was my first thought as well

Pretty sure it's the exact same, or a slightly later version of the Sudden Strike engine, even the in game UI is basically the same

Try playing Sudden Strike 4 on Xbox it feels weird as hell

id like to see him do the campigns for this game cause the one lore bar he passed by seemed pretty great like wasteland and red alert had a baby storywise.

Yea the rebalance mod is still pretty rough but is at least possible to make a mistake or two

The game requires a partcular style of play which for any faction that isn't the USSR is crawling forward with cannon fodder to spot things for your tanks to shoot at.

I think a good balance wouldn't be to make thing more tanky but just give you tons of stuff to throw at the defense

In the sequel (Ice Crusade) they go full Red Alert/Red Dawn and have Georgy Zhukov invade America through an ice bridge connecting Europe to North America. Once you win the campaign and make America collapse he becomes Premier and unites the world.

The sequel has the Red Army marching from Egypt over the frozen wasteland (Day After Tomorrow style) of the Northern Hemisphere down to Mexico by crossing a giant ice bridge to invade America. Because reasons? They're also fighting over South Africa? It isn't clear and also people still live in the frozen tundra in like Detroit because America has factories there that make AH-56s and Convair Model 49.

Besides, wouldn't it make more sense to make a city like Omaha or Wichita the capital? Somewhere central?

KZfaq has removed the api, it cannot be displaying the true value, the best it could be doing is a well calibrated guess.

@@CrabBell the plugin admits to as much anymore, apparently a few creators have said that it's a pretty damn good guess tho so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@@CrabBell It uses archived data when possible but also adds any dislikes from users who have the extension active while disliking. So yes most dislike values are slightly lower than their true amount.

Blitzkrieg 1 is far more balanced than this; infantry AT weapons that aren't shitty AT Rifles don't shown up till late game but you could abuse the Hell out of the Sniper and artillery.

It's blitzkrieg but everyone and their granma has anti tank weapons and automatic rifle hence the extreme lethality of the combat in this game. If you're not familiar with BK (or barely gasp the mechanic of this game like Rimmy did) then you're in a world of pain tryìng to assault a single enemy trench line.

It’s a tragedy that this game had to be made so unbalanced and buggy because it’s one of the only games to portray not only a “realistic” Cold War scenario but also a realistic post apocalypse with a nuclear winter, the world not ending (not fallout) and experimental technology.

@@coatofarms4439 you can turn the jank to your advantage as well, this game is so broken i can think of at least 4 ways to break it. Do you know that china can reinforce troops forever without losing any resource because the nuclear war "only" killed 1 million chinese according to the lore?

Yea well I heard about this a Long time ago and how its like Blitzkrieg 1 but much more Modern Anti-Tank weapons that make it murderously challenging and how battles are Much larger scale but it's virtually impossible to manage them effectively.

That's engine limitation problem, most of the realism mechanics get drastically butchered by the two dimensional Blitzkrieg engine which wasn't really suited for arial combat, advanced infantry, tactical mapping and the likes. After all the game was made in the 90's with 70% of Blitzkrieg's resources.

I think the Balance/Logic is the problem not only Blitzkrieg also Sudden strike i remember like 1 German rifleman with 25 ammo can kill 25 Soviet smg because Rifleman has more range, and yes it takes more than 2 hours to make sure not all your unit die instantly i already play Sudden Strike and is quite Fun i guess.

And more i forgot to say about rifleman it should be chance they Miss shot right,is not like they can head shot them at the time right and smg yeah they have short range and need like 3 shot to kill infantry they also have Grenade but need very close range,also a simple Grenade can damage any tank but not the Heavy one.

This is fundamental problem with the blitzkrieg game engine. In blitzkrieg 99% of the infantry has semi-automatic rifles-which in code terms translates to one deadly RNG 'bullet' per infantry unit, being fired every two seconds. Thus allowing somewhat pleasant, deadly, but duable frontline implementation of infantry. In CMC: The Aftermath quite literally everything has 'fully automatic firearms' (which, I am not kidding, are actually just re-skined Blitzkrieg 1's end game submachine infantry units) which translates to somewhere between 5-10 of the exact same deadly RNG bullets being casted every 0,5 seconds, thus completely ruining almost everything. But IMO the biggest problem with infantry is the range, Blitzkrieg 1's submachine infantry has despicable almost none existent range as to compensate for their lethality, and that's the also the case with the copy pasted baseline infantry CMC:TA. They get outranged by everything you want to use them against: The enemy infantry is scripted with double range as to make it harder, AT-artilley and AA-guns have 6 times the range of normal infantry AND instant spotting. The submachines of tanks, APC's & light armoured vehicles outrages your RPG guys' range by like 8 times. Hell, infantry is the only thing in this game that has smaller range than it's view radius. Btw the best use of infantry by far is to use artillery fire with smoke shells to blind the enemy while your regiments entrench themselves in like 2 feet in front of their nose. And also you know, for the love of God change the difficulty to easy as to make this game way less masochistic and your units actually decent.

It is its own series called Blitzkrieg, it was released like two years later from the first sudden strikes and functions a bit different. Fun game it is. As they key to the game think like a russian general; let the arty do the work and mop up the rest up with tanks

sudden strike is way more harder than this because if you are patient , in cmc you can just do nothing other than producing more and more vehicles and sendin em to your bases then you can wait for the ai to attack and lost its everything and then you can make your move with crap lot of stuff and resources

@@wolfgang6157 Sudden Strike 4 gently places you in the middle part of the pool Sudden Strike 3 throws you into the deep end Sudden Strike 2 and 1 both just throw you out of a helicopter Pinochet style into the fucking Atlantic

It's not blitzkrieg i thought exactly like it you too but it's another game that some assets from blitzkrieg like (literally the sound effect are the same like tank shooting it's turret , the soldier dying sound ) the minimap is also the same type , though i prefer blitzkrieg For it's soundtrack , holy moly just listening to it makes me feel nostalgic
