DON'T pour TOO MUCH epoxy resin !!

Getting a Flash Cure when Pouring Epoxy Resin is not fun! How much Epoxy Resin is too much for your Epoxy Resin Art Project? Pouring too much Epoxy Resin can result in an Exothermic reaction or Flash Cure, causing bubbles, warping and cracking. I tried to avoid an exothermic reaction in my latest epoxy resin pour, when I poured too much resin, by lowering the project in to a cold water bath and also blowing cool air over the project. Did it work? ... you tell me. I am looking for answers how to do this better, please let me know in the comments below how you achieve better results with your epoxy resin pours!

Isn’t it funny how when you were younger staying up all night was never much of a big deal, but it knocks the guts out of you as you get older… but yet I can barely sleep 5 hours a day now. Nice vid btw. Thanks for the share

The bath was genius. Good save on the bubbles too. Considering how ambitious the pour was, things could have turned out way worse. Solid work!

Its great advice... and next time that will be my approach. Pouring in one go is not the way... well I say that, but I spoke to vista resin about this project and they say they have a resin that will do the big deep pour so I am going to give that a try too. But the tinted part A seems to be the smartest way to go so far!

Thanks for sharing this process! As someone who works with epoxy resin all the time (and who’s had more flash cures this summer due to the temperature than I ever want to experience!) I felt this *in my soul*. Bubbles. Leaks. Stress. Determination bordering on obsession… I hope the epoxy gods are in your favour with the next big pour you mentioned! Somehow I missed the previous video for this, so I’m gonna watch it now, and I’ll appreciate it all the more knowing what went on behind the scenes!

Just a quick tip... shakeing helps bubbles rise. So after the pour bang on the table a couple of times ... a shakeing table or vakuum chamber would be even better but .. yeah bang on the table ;-)

it always seems like no matter how hard you try to prep for a resin pour there's always at least one leak lol, not bad for a pour of that size and it turned out great!
