You r so lucky ! I Just found the show last week, can’t stop watching it! Wish I found it earlier. I remember Dave said if you don’t know your numbers, you don’t know your business! What a clever idea!!! I started calculating my numbers and will have actual plan for future life! OMG ! So regret for the past!

About the lady asking about her pastor going into more debt to upgrade the church...a church I used to go to, has maybe 100 people in it at best. The pastor wants to spend $1 million on a new church building. He sent multiple letters to me asking for money on top of any regular offerings I give. I haven't been back to that church in years. Ready to ask for money, but never bothered to check in. Not to mention $1 million is totally insane

The discussion about Insurance is so true. FPU was so timely in this lesson. The FPU lessons, homework on checking policies. Save me Big time. Money now and later. Realized I was underinsured with both my car and home insurance. Having insurance for so long, I just paid and renewed without changes in coverage.

It always hurts to hear people like the caller with her brother; they smelled that she didn’t have boundaries & ran right over her. Shame on them. Nobody in their right mind has ever even tried to play with me like that, they just don’t even try; idk how I would react if someone tried. Wouldn’t be good. I hope she can either talk to the brother or distance herself & find peace & strength without them.

Together we make about $150,000 a year and I’m constantly running drives for underprivileged kids in my area, for the women’s shelter, nursing home, our public schools, individuals who need items for their children or a home they just got into. I don’t do it with a non profit or my job. I just gather help on fb and get the community involved putting in hundreds of my own dollars to the point where I’ve put myself in some situations financially but I’ve learned I can do much bigger things if I can be wealthy, all thanks to Dave.

Mack, I agree with Justice. It’s never too late, so long as you are still breathing and can work. I encourage you to read Dave’s Total money Makeover (e.g., from library), memorize select scripture (Proverbs 3:5-6; and Jeremiah 29:11, etc.), and make a prayerful plan and goals with your wife! It may include you working 1-3 extra jobs while you go work through Dave Ramsey‘s 7 Baby Steps that are in the book and on the web; building your financial knowledge and financial plan during that time; and seeing if there is work that your wife can do from home, such as tutoring or a reputable call-based job. I would consider moving to a state or city with a much lower cost of living, but you 2 need to decide what’s best for your family! I hope that this helps! I’ve said a prayer for you and your family!-/Ali D.

Dear Mr. Ramsey, what you are doing is great, but you are doing it for your own profit. My information is, that this strategy of working your finances is actually a strategy that the German chamber of commerce has come up with a long time ago, to help little and medium size business survive and thrive. None the less, I respect you for helping thousands of people in the USA to get out of the hamster wheel of the depth industry. I am almost depth free, house paid for, car paid for, small pension of 1700 euros net, health insurance secured. Only 4500 credit card depth left to pay off. Working on it, but that little last thing is hard.
