To be honest a while back I decided to give the Forest Ancient Fuelweaver a name just for the heck of it, and ever since I've been calling them: Alder (one because it sounds like elder, and two it's a type of tree)

the labyrinth should have some spilagmites so upon defeating the fuelweaver they respawn making fossils renewable

Funfact: if you found fossil in one of them and you have to rollback you'll find it in the exact one. I did experiments.

That was a long ending, but anyway I think that using fragments against frog frog ponds with anenemys could be a fully functional frog leg farm, although collecting the loot would require a hammer every time to get inside ( or lazy forager or lazy explorer or technically even a telelocater focus but who would ever do that)

Don’t you “regen” the ruins after defeating the AF again, and if so, can’t you do that to farm fossils?

Where do fossils come from the ruins?! You get them from stalagmites. That's it. Stalagmites are not the ruins.
