My first time encountering one of these was in the dark while i had a torch and i just saw this spider thing coming towards me and i felt my soul leave my body

Me and my sister found this randomly yesterday, while playing the game for the first time. We didn't realise it could move before I walked past it with a torch because we needed more firewood. It followed me back to the fire, and just kinda stayed, we call it Rosie.

first time I saw it crawling towards me I just thought "KILL IT WITH FIRE!!!". and I did and so I did with the result of "NOTHING CAN STOP IT!!!"

The first time I encountered a stagehand I was so freaked out that I abandoned my nearby camp and risked dying in winter to camp somewhere else far from it. I died ten days later because I was avoiding the stagehand all the time and had to take the longer way to find resources, starving myself slowly and wasting time. Then I learned that it does nothing beside scaring the shit out of you

I always thought the stagehand was a part of Charlie so she could always keep an eye on you and your friends.

I always thought the stagehand was kind of adorable, following the fire like a lost puppy. Or maybe it was just interested in how to get rid of that darned thing that you were lighting it on fire with!

When I first encountered a stagehand it was late at night (irl and in game) on one of my first few games. It was chasing me with a torch as a hound wave was starting and I was away from base. I thought “table” would be on my “frequently killed by” list.. was absolutely terrifying lmao

Some days ago I played DST for the first time and met Stagehand right away. It looked creepy at day but when I was running around at night it scared the shit out of me. Game greeted me nicely

looks like I'm one of the lucky few who never found it crawling after me in the dark, lol. didn't even know it could do this. to be honest, i thought the tables were lore involved and i just hadn't gotten far enough into the fandom to know what they are. Maybe they DO have something to do with lore? I dunno. interesting either way though.

I wonder if the version of the stagehand in DST is a spy device or something like that for Charlie, since it is surrounded by roses and, you know, roses didn’t appear until Charlie became the ruler of the constant, and the hand that sweeps away the fire looks very similar to the hand that comes out of the survivors’s mouth when being attacked by Charlie

I had known about the stagehand since before playing DST solo but my first time encountering one was in the dark and it scared me so hard the back of my mouth was burning and I paused the game in terror. I was today years old when I found out it actually has legs which makes it infinitely more terrifying.

I had a situation once where a stagehand followed me home and parked in front of a chest so I couldn't open the chest or even hammer the chest to break it. It caused such a hassle.

I love these things though because they’re super cute! I normally lead them to my camp just because they’re adorable.

When I first started playing DST my friend wanted to scare me with the stagehand, he came running at me in the dark with SH close behind and I just kinda found it cute in a spooky way. I fell in love with it cause roses and scary cute are my weakness lol

The worst thing about the stagehand is when you leave base to go somewhere at night and you come back to see it there And then when it wont go away and just becomes a nuisance taking up space at base

When I was new to the game, my friend told me that stagehands will oneshot you if you let it catch up to you, so until another friend of mine recently told me that wasn’t true, I always ran and stayed as far away from stagehands as possible xD.

Okay so an experience that happened to me: Me and my friend were playing on a server together and we saw a stage Hand. Crap. Anyways we made a base far away from it and it still did come. We didnt care because why would we? We went to sleep and when woke up.. I kid you not it turned into the end table. I have no idea why it happened and i am still confused as ever.

Bruh i found this as wilson near a wormhole village i died of hunger i thought this was nothing

First time I encountered one it was just sitting at my camp, it must have followed me in the night back but I didn’t notice, I thought it was evil so I lured it away in the night in winter and quickly realised if you light it it’s basically a nighttime portable bonfire, it goes out in a second but if you spam light it, it creates enough heat to warm you up again, so I took him back and he stayed with me.

Playing this with my friend and she saw the stagehand first, had no idea what it was. When it got darn and she made fire there was just a lot of her screaming about how the table was walking towards her. 😂 We did some research and figured out it was the Stagehand but it freaks us out so much we try to stay away from it. Fast forward and I’m in the woods for the night (restarted in a new map) and when morning hits I continue my journey only to notice the stagehand sitting in the middle of the woods, not far from where I’d lit trees on fire the night before. We travel a little father down and find the ring of roses and I realize the stagehand was on it’s was to sneak up on me, had night been any longer it would’ve scared me. 😂😂😂

On the reworked Woody guide you said the the Moose transformation will break anything in 2 charges no matter the durability. Will 2 charges also break the stagehand? Could save tons of time.

6:00 this method for fighting may not be useful for most giants, but it is STRAIGHT GOLD when fighting Klaus himself. Trust me on this one, I’ve used this method countless times to fight him. Highly recommend.

First time I came across one, I joined a random server, no one greeted me and no one was at spawn. I see the stagehand at the corner of my field of vision and note how I should go back and investigate, then I see it running after me. It starts raining, my torch is burning out, the thing is right fucking behind me and I’m shitting myself. Then I die to Charlie. Scariest experience with this game so far.

My conclusion: stagehands are the controlled by the rose that Fuelweaver turns into when he is killed.

In my experience, stagehands always spawn on forest turf, and they are always on the side of a road, though not explicitly the stone road

I usually find stagehands by roads but my last two worlds they spawned pretty far from the road in a grassland biome amidst a bunch of beehives. I wonder if maybe it has something to do with the flower soawning?

I dont know if this is really random unlucky or has something to do with secret game mechanics, but one time i was playing Wickerbottom and i found the stage hand and picked one or 2 roses. I then just explored not very far till nightfall and with my torch obviously, the stagehand found me. But the interesting thing is while it followed i completely randomly froze. Not like couldn't move froze just took a lot of damage. And it was day 5. Nowhere close to winter and i was in the middle of a birch biome does anyone have a clue as to why this happened?

Meh my stagehand spawned near the entrance portal across the map from any cobblestone road. Super random but then again I'm on PS4 and that's always weirdly random. Good Video brother!

I've never found one near brick roads. Some reason my worlds rarely to never have brick roads.
