Cyprus is part of the solution and not the problem, the country’s President Nikos Christodoulides said after Lebanon’s Hezbollah threatened the Mediterranean nation if it opened its airports and bases to Israel. In his speech on Wednesday, Nasrallah warned the nearby island-nation that the Iran-backed group would consider the Cypriot government part of the ongoing Gaza war if it assisted Israel.

@@user-tr6tb2lf3c First of all All those bases are UK bases that are not controled from the Cyprus Gov. The people of Cyprus has protest against those bases but noone listen to us. I hope the people in Cyprus who currently live peacefully going to work, putting food on the table, finishing education, climbing up the corporate ladder, improving their lives basically understands what it entails to enter a war as well as understand the hardship, suffering, destruction and death that war brings. I hope you are fully aware what you're government, the one that you pay taxes too to champion your interest is contemplating.

Educate yourself. Those bases were part of the deal for granting us independence back in 1960. Our government has no control over those bases, and the UK does not listen. As a Cypriot living here, I know more about the matter than you. We don't want to be part of this genocide, and we also sent aid to Gaza

@@MrMelgibstein Greece and Cyprus supported for decades the Palestinians but Hamas and Hezbollah take sides with Turkey, the occupier of Cyprus. They are not worth the support of the Greeks. UAE sends assistance to Israel but Hezbollah say nothing. Azeri massacre the Armenians using Israeli drones but the Arabs don't see any problem with it. So, let them get a life.

Are they using bases in your Country? Doesn't matter if they're your bases or not. You can restrict what Foreign bases can do in your Country. If you're NOT telling any Foreign Country that whatever base they have in your Country can't be used to attack Lebanon, then yeah, you're involved
