i’m 15 and i would never take marriage advice from a woman that bases relationships off of her own desires instead of the partners. in order to maintain a relationship, you need to think about your partner as well not just you. if you feel like someone isn’t good enough, that’s because you are comparing them to other guys. not because they’re not actually good enough.

My grandparents were together for over 66 years until my grandfather died and shortly later my grandmother as well. They got married as teens soon after my grandfather returned from the Carpathian campaign where he was fighting against the last remaining groups of nazis. Both atheists, none of them ever thought about a divorce. In-laws, together for almost 50 years, catholics, great marriage. My parents, my sister-in-law, my other grandparents... all these marriages either lasted until death or still last. The only difference is my other sister-in-law who is not married, but she is in a loving stable relationship for over a decade, the same one since she was 14. None of us were rich or famous, effectively all were struggling as quite poor people, at least in the beginning of the relationship... You would have a really hard time finding a single family of rich people or celebrities with such a record.

As someone who is divorced (married at 19, divorced at 21), it’s not a light decision. I was being physically, emotionally, sexually, and spiritually abused (using my religion against me to justify the abuse) and it wasn’t until he almost literally killed me that I was okay with divorce. And I still grieve that divorce. I’m glad to be free of him and be in a safe, healthy relationship, but it still breaks my heart that I wasn’t able to have a healthy happy marriage the first go around. Exactly this. Women who view marriage this way are the reason more and more men are opting out of it altogether. There's just no point in it. If I want to ruin myself financially and emotionally, I'll just withdrawal my life savings and book a weekend trip to Vegas. It'd probably be less painful to lose it all there anyway. As they say, "marriage is the number one cause of divorce". For women like this marriage is just a cash grab.

Everyone in my immediate family for the 2 generations before have been divorced and has a grand total of 16 marriages...spaning 7 people (my parents, my Maternal Grandmother, My Paternal Grandmother and Grandfather, P Uncle, and M Aunt)...1 of those marriages is an open polygamous relationship... needless to say this actually traumatized me so much as a kid I was afraid to get married, fearing that love can never last and will only end in hate and betrayal. I would never ask anyone one of them for marriage advice. Divorce as an out is not something that should be idolized and encouraged. Luckily I did get past my fears, I am happily married and told my husband prior that this is forever and not to expect a divorce as an easy way out later, which he happily agreed to. 15 years together ❤️.

Best marriage advice I can give. My wife and I are 10 years strong. Help each other, talk to each other, make sure both of you understand your wants and needs and if you don't talk to each other. If those needs can't be met find a compromise, a solution. Don't get mad at one other over every little thing they do that annoys you, pick your battles and pick a good time. Never bring these up in a heated argument or when either of you are upset approach it when you are both calm level headed and ready to calmly talk. Problem with marriage these days most people don't want to try, they just want to throw in the towel the first time they argue or have a disagreement.

I’ll have been married to my wife for a year in October (wait for it) but we will have been together for 16 yrs on our wedding anniversary. I’m 33, when we first started dating I was 17, we’ve been through all the transitions living in deprecate places to with each other, switching up jobs, setting boundaries you name it and I have to say ppl with perspectives like this what my wife and I call “small trees” as we consider ourselves “tall trees”. We’ve seen multiple couples meet, date, get married, have kids, and divorce, and we’ve just been here standing the entire time “growing taller”. My point here is there are bad nights, there are bad weeks or even bad months it seems like sometimes but if both ppl are genuinely committed, no matter how angry or unhappy your partner makes you, neither of you should ever even speak “ending words” out loud. That’s the key. The Trinity of reality is thought, word, deed. You can’t control what you think, but you can control what you say, and if you say something, your 2/3 your way towards a deed so make sure you don’t speak ruin into your own existence.

The issues with Mia Khalifa is that those advices are terrible no matter what her job was and that she as a person is a complete fraud. She lied about her porn career, she did it for a much longer time, made much more money and the contracts she had with bid producers prove it. She only turned against the porn industry in the moment she realised the position of "feminist anti-porn professional victim" was more profitable.

This may go unnoticed, but I've never felt compelled to share my story before. 35 yo male, I'm on my second marriage, because my ex decided this was her point of view. I wasn't exciting, didn't take her on lots of vacations, didn't buy her all the expensive things. I worked 24 hour shifts at times to provide for us, did 14-18 hour shifts just to be able to keep our house, new car, new dogs, new furniture she wanted. When she broke me, she said I owed her more. I'm one of these guys, one who didn't provide entertainment and excitement. After my divorce I struggled with depression, thoughts of suicide, feelings of inadequacy and worthlessness. It took me years to rebuild myself, and yes scars are definitely there. Marriage is what you see it as. If its a piece of paper to you, then that person never really mattered in the first place. For me, it's what gives me my support, peace, and will to push harder. Marriage can be wonderful, absolutely difficult and irritating, but is a labor of love.

I’ve been married for over a decade longer then Brett has been alive. There were times when we wanted to throw in the towel, but we worked it out. I also think because our kids saw us working out our differences, they are better equipped to handle problems in their own marriages.

I married for life, my first husband passed after three years of marriage. Took me 7 years till I could even think of dating again. Met my husband about a year into getting back into the dating scene. Now have beautiful mirror image twin girls and life is awesome. When you find that one person who completes you hold on as tight as you can because you never know what the future has planed for you.

As a Christian, my belief is marriage is final. My parents have been married for I don’t know how long and divorce is a word they never have said once because they’d rather work through any problems rather than go against what Marriage stands for. The word divorce isn’t even allowed to be said in our home. I’m following after them. I’ll work through anything for my significant other once I find one because that’s what my parents expect and that’s what I expect from myself. Marriage is final. Period

@creationsfs9784
@creationsfs9784 Жыл бұрын
@@SanthoshGparapurrathu that’s the problem with how others think. When you get married you’re supposed to be there until death do you apart. By thinking divorce is okay is what makes people do it over the dumbest things. Marriage is supposed to bind two people together. You’re not supposed to leave them later on just because you want something better than they have to offer. It was explained in this video just now. Its one thing if a spouse is abusive, but thinking divorce is okay because it’ll suit you better is not. It’s not a religious thing to believe in marriage as permanent, however I know I made it sound that way, but marriage should be permanent. You shouldn’t be looking for a way out. Divorce is only acceptable if there’s violence against another. That means physical or mental. If you divorce for any other reason then it’s not okay. Shouldn’t marry someone you don’t trust whole heartedly in the first place so.

There's a difference between giving marriage advice, and giving wedding advice. What Mia is doing is giving wedding advice. As a general rule, young people should only accept marriage advice from 2 type of people: 1) people they know and trust and who have been married for at least 20 years(to the same person!), or 2) a certified marriage counselor.

Sigh. My parents divorced when I was 16, and while it was the most agonizing thing I've ever been through, it has informed me about what not to do in my own marriage, especially now that I have kids. My in-laws are still together and miserable, which has also informed me of what not to do. It's just awful to see my generation avoiding marriage with a 10-foot pole because of terrible advice like this as well as their own parents divorcing like it's in style or some bullshit. It's a sad state of affairs! I only hope I can provide my boys with a healthy idea of marriage.

Everyone said the same thing when she left - that's not going to work out. And guess what? She was back in the area 3 months later and looking for a job. I'm on dating apps and still can't believe how many younger ppl are divorced already.

A good rule in life is to be careful who you take your advice from. If someone says marriage is just paperwork, and you can leave at any time just because your needs aren't satisfied, it's a good bet that they aren't someone you should listen too. Especially if they've been married & divorced twice and called off an engagement within the span of 12 years.

The reason why marriage has to be seen as something more than a long-term relationship is because this is where households are built and children are raised. Without a strong household to teach children about our culture and how to not only survive, but thrive in our culture, we end up with a larger number of people who struggle to make ends meet, more criminals, and more people who are not invested in building a better society but seeking out strictly what promotes themselves. This doesn't mean that a children that grow up in strong families are perfect, but they have a much higher success rate than those who don't. For those who just don't want to have children or don't think it's important, the issue is that our society only has the services it offers because people do work to create products and services. If we end up with a large enough percentage of the population having fewer than 2.1 children, then our population size will shrink, and we will end up with a society with more old people than young people. As such, the idea of retirement starts going away. Either because the money you've saved loses value as services become more scarce and expensive or because you have no children of your own to take care of you. This is true whether you live in a capitalist society or a communist society. Both require a strong labor force to provide any goods or services. I'm not saying that everyone should have kids or even should get married. What I am saying is that we have really good reasons for pushing for marriage and holding it as "sanctimonious" above just a long-term relationship. I'm also not saying divorce should never happen, but it should be more serious than just "I'm not fulfilled" or "I think so and so what make me feel better" and so many of the other excuses and reasons I hear. I think people should be free to make their own choices, but people need to understand the consequences on themselves and society.

His first marriage lasted about a month, his second marriage only lasted half a year, his third marriage lasted ~15 years, and his current marriage has lasted ~11 years. And what is the common denominator? Marrying women after only knowing them for one month beforehand. And when he told me that me and my fiancé are rushing into marriage, it took all my will power to laugh in his face. I’ve only ever been with my fiancé and we’ve been together for almost 3 years. Living together for most of that time. My fiancé’s only ever been with me.
