I LIKE THE FIRE ALARMS WITH SEALED CANDELA TONE PATTERN VOLUME BECAUSE IT MAKES IT HARDER TO MESS WITH THEM AND WHEN FIRE ALARMS ARE INSTALLED THEY DO SUCH A GREAT JOB OF SCREWING THE ALARM SO TIGHTLY INTO THE WALL SO IT MAKES IT HARDER FOR PEOPLE TO TAKE THE ALARM OFF THE WALL TO MESS WITH IT.

Don’t ever cut the power to the alarm system.

Don’t ever change the candela on the strobe or if your alarm is a multi tone alarm do not ever change the tones on it.

These are things you should never ever do to an alarm in public.

Also don’t ever pull a pull station with no fire and don’t ever open the pull station.

I SAW THIS SAME ALARM WITH THE TRIM PLATE OFF ON FIRE ALARM FAILS ON WHEELOVE FIRE ALARMS CHANNEL AND HE SAID IT IS NOT GOOD BECAUSE PEOPLE CAN REMOVE THE DEVICE AND TAMPER WITH IT AND WHAT SHOULD BE DONE HERE IS A TRIM PLATE SHOULD BE PUT BACK ON THE DEVICE SO PEOPLE DON’T MESS WITH IT THIS IS MOST CERTAINLY A FAIL.

I agree you should never ever pull fire alarms in public for any reason unless there is a fire or if you have permission to pull the fire alarm for a fire drill or if you have permission to pull the fire alarm for a test. If you have your own fire alarm set up at home it is fine to pull the fire alarm for those reasons but never pull fire alarms for fun. It is also illegal to leave a large portion of a building without an alarm.

And if your alarm is on the celling don’t ever take it down from the ceiling.

Always leave the alarm the way it is.

Don’t ever wire pull stations to anything else in the building pull stations shall only control fire alarms not anything else in the building.

At least in my school none of the fire alarms were tampered with as far as taking them off the wall or doing anything like that which is the good news but the bad news is someone did pull the alarm.

I’m going to take your advice very seriously and never do anything to an alarm that will cause it to not work anymore.

I remember in my middle school, people would always play with the fire alarm, and they would poke and tamper with the parts, and I was scared they might set it off.

I agree you should never tamper with fire alarm equipment in public buildings for any reason/ never ever pull fire alarms for fun only do it if there is a fire/ emergency or if you have permission or if you have your own fire alarm system at home that doesn’t contact the fire department. There should be a protective cover for the actual notification device just like there is for the pull station.
