Anakin/Vader is The chosen one of the force. The jedi with the highest potentual in Star Wars history. The only reason he didnt become the greatest Jedi ever is because of, well... everything that happened to him. Vader is the most powerfull opponent in all of Starwars. While not having all of Anakins potentual anymire, he refined his skills to the highest degree. It took both trickery of the force and him to face the most haunting thing to him, his past, in Luke, to be brought down. And even then it didnt, but pushed him to switch sides and bring balance to the force finally.
