Kislev vs Dwarfs, one has a faction wide ability that basically makes them fight to the death, the other has morale so high they're virtually unbreakable (plus slayers) Its like slamming a Nokia 3310 against legos

The situation is almost 1-to-1 to my first ever IE campaign. I went ballsy with 50 turn random Endgame Crisis. It turned out to be dwarfs and Ungrim just steamrolled over me.

The wizard dies because the artillery crew bugged out. At 26:25 you send her to attack the artillery, which makes her immediately run into the enemy army and die. Very unfortunate but would probably have happened to everyone :D

I like at 8:18 Legend says “everyone needs to focus on this Irondrake unit before it annihilates us.” Ice Guards: “Annilates us!”😂😂

While the Dawi probably wouldn’t have forgiven Legend for beating them, they absolutely won’t forgive him turning on “large army” to make things more interesting

4:39 this is one of the reasons I love the little grom. Most of the time using artillery feels like rolling a dice to see if the shots land. meanwhile little grom is basically a sniper that shots 50 tons of steel, that will go trough anything, small or big, always doing good damage

Kislev vs Dwarfs is just guaranteed to be the most gruelling battle you've ever seen.

At first you came a bit short with the army composition but you managed to overcome your shortcomings

ive never seen this map in my kislev campaign like ever and this what encapsulates kislevs roster and even dwarfs playstyle dragging them down slowly into a narrow pass and turned into a killbox

Would you be willing to consider doing on another micro heavy, maybe formation heavy, battle, to have a Keyboard Overlay in the corner? Sometimes there's shortcuts/hotkeys I haven't even considered or have completely forgotten about due to playing Shogun 2 and mods like Third Age for too long.. But then I see you do something in these videos, ie alt dragging units in setup, that can completely revolutionizes the gameplay of your less legendary viewers, and its happened more than once in my time watching you.. Thanks. ;)

It really feels like the AI has a plan at the start of every battle, and if youre playing a ranged army that plan is rush like hell. If you disrupt that plan they derp out really hard and just start walking their troops everywhere

I would say any casulties are worth it. As long as you can survive and reorganise for a retaliation. If you can turn a disaster into a stalemate it's 100x times better then just losing.

Kraka Drak in particular, but any dead Dwarf is a good Dwarf. It's to the point that I would really petition for, and possibly pay, to have some Lords submit battles in the future (disaster or otherwise, TBH) featuring more Dawi endgame nonsense, featuring other factions, until you have one battle for each race represented this calendar year. The armies this endgame throws at you, on top of the inherent Dawi toughness, would make the entire ensuing "series" a string of epic, long battles, which are always great While I daydream about that happening, sixty thx for this battle! I now have an excellent enemy army to theorycombat against a litany of other armies I've recently seen, along with all of the minor faction stacks that you fled in terror from during the endturn: - SpaceWizardTW's main army from his current Goldtooth series - the Vahsnar's Conquest stack from your New Year's Day vid - a couple of thematic Dark Elf armies I faced yesterday from Forest Healing dilemmas, including a KHARIBDYSS DOOMSTACK - Okoii's 19 Lords of Change - Clan Carrion's starting army in IE+their settlement garrison at Nagashizzar (which I believe starts at Tier V?) Etc., etc.

Dawi are really easy when you have artillery superiority or amazing magic, if you lack those, its a tough grind.

ah yes, another battle where Legend utilizes hills to their maximum: while they may not be symmetrical, they are big enough, adjacent and have just the right amount of space between them for fun to occur

End game crisis dwarves are f-ing scary!

It's a shame you made some mistakes that cost you a couple of units, but honestly I was struggling to keep up with everything that was happening just watching!! That was such a chaotic fight, it's really impressive that you only lost that few units.

I'm in the same boat fighting the Choas dwarves. Trying not get nuked by their artillery and powers. They are nasty. Any advise on how to fight them?

Weird ask; try this battle again on normal or easy difficulty? The ranged units wouldn't ignore your small single entities so it might actually be harder.

This map was very favorable, long walk in swamp terrain as dwarfs into a perfect funnel vs all ranged

I noticed you stop using little grom after it used all its ammo until like minute 36. But they are quite usefull in melee too, their are fast specially against dwarfs. You could have used them to rearcharge or something.

How hard would it be to programme the A.I to form up its entire army with reinforcements before attacking? The weird thing is, I am positive I have seen the A.I do this (form up with its reinforcements) in battles against me and you used to have to cause damage to them to trigger the attack. Obviously it does it on the defensive, so is this just a problem when the A.I attacks you with what it considers a superior force? Seems this wouldn't be too hard a fix and if the Dwarfs in this battle for example had simply waited for their Artillery and their entire force they would have most likely won regardless of what Legend did.

I have never seen this map. I've played a total of months of time. Literally *every* map I get is a small, forested and just hilly enough for gun lines to hurt. I can't really do missile armies. Then I play VC, and it's just big open planes, even in the mountains, lol

Don't know why the guy tried using Ice Guard vs Dwarf endgame crisis. Some Akshina ambushers would have been a better economical substitute or Strelsi if he had the cash for them because the AP damage missiles would have been much more effective. Magic attack wasn't that useful since they don't appear to have much physical resistance. Also they are technically lower balance of power compared to Ice Guard, meaning as the AA or Strelsi use ammo or die, your own balance of power is affected less.

Kislev missile infantry has better melee stats than Empire’s best melee infantry Yeah

after the game stopped crashing constantly, they might have brought new janky commands with the last update, i noticed it has been getting harder to properöy direct units in some cases and archers are now derpy as hell, thx CA
