A lot of fellas are thinking about a smaller, simpler life. Your ability to customize things helps a lot. I am short and would not benefit from overhead cabinets or a microwave over the refrigerator. In any case, that is not my idea of 'simplification.' I would delete the range and go with your somewhat larger woodstove. I love the pull-out kitchen storage!

Great little camp Weston! I just love all the camps, can't understand why anyone would choose something other than a sheep camp.

Thanks Weston. Very helpful and just what I was looking for in a size comparison. I think I am on the right track for my one person S-24. The dimensions helped. Appreciate you braving the cold and getting this video out. I have watched every video numerous times (the big ones, the odd ones and the traditional ones) and the S-24 video embedded in the Alpine series and this video are the most informative for me. I can now envision what the insides will look like on my design and what I can afford to have and more importantly, not. It won't be a Texas dance hall to be sure, but the only person I have to get out of the way of is myself and I think I can do that. As I have said earlier, a place to sleep, cook my food if it is too bad outside to do so, keep my gear, get out of the cold, take a nap and clean my gear and myself. As a third generation sheep rancher who has lived and worked out of sheep camps throughout the West and my subsequent time in the Marine Corps living in tight quarters aboard ship I have a unique perspective on what I want, require, and can live with and without. Small and agile enough to get into those tough out of the way places, all weather capable and easy to tow down the road to each new spot, yet with the things I need and want to make make life comfortable without having to pack everything in the truck. I have taken some of your and other's ideas from the videos and mashed it all together with some unique requirements of my own. This project has been three years in the planning backed by 50 plus years of field experience to get exactly what I want and nothing less! In the next couple of weeks we will be closing the deal with the design, then begins the waiting. I look forward to working with the Wheelers.

Getting closer to leaving Chicago and doing a semi nomad thing with a base camp. I've looked into many options but what I've seen is most manufacturers, I live not far from where they churn them out and that's being nice. They're over priced, under quality and service, well whatever. I am 6.6 which precludes me from many things. Growing up I loved our travel trailer we spent years with it but that's not an option My questions 1. Does queen size bed fit? 2. Not the door, because you answered but I miss the floor to peak measurements 3. Would it possible to use a Dickinson Marine stove ? 4. Diesel type heaters an option? Thanks for great stuff. I think I may have solved a problem

Can you get this camp 96 inches wide 19-20 feet long? With a bathroom vanity/sink? I'm trying to stay around 8,000 pounds. I really like this camp. Great job, thanks

@@user-nv1rq1gx8j looking forward to your visit. We will have a 96” x 19ft camp with this layout done probably around Christmas so If you would like we could do a video of that camp?

That would be awesome. I think a little more room, especially around the door, would be nice to have. It's just me and hopefully a new Aussie, so a small camp that still gets in/out of remote locations would be nice. I'm not an RV campground fan. Happy Holidays

@@user-nv1rq1gx8j great size that will pretty well accommodate most people especially with the tradition layout. Happy holidays to you as well.

Weston, you are calling this a S-25....is this a custom length camp or have you simply revised what you are calling the tip to tail measurements for DOT requirements? What are the box dimensions? Internally, I get the 88" wide and the shorter height, but what is the inside N-S measurement?
@peakmountaincamps
@peakmountaincamps 7 ай бұрын
19ft we still have to distinguishing them from bumper to tongue for dot purposes. It’s a safe bet that if the camp doesn’t have a deck or some other type frame that if you subtract 6ft that would give you the living space.

@@peakmountaincamps Tape measure out yesterday, chalk on the driveway, butcher paper on the garage door. An old school method of making things make sense (even though the neighbors thought that the crazy old basco drawing "hopscotch" in his driveway had finally lost it). Based on the preliminary drawings from Mike, it is all going to a nice compact, comfortably livable trailer with the 18'L x 88"W x 80"H box in the S24 Tandem. Everything I want & need, nothing I don't with no wasted space.
