I have a box of pieces from broken jewelry that my daughter gave me. Bracelets with broken clasps. Single earrings. Pendants with gemstones missing. I love to incorporate these otherwise unloved bits into whatever I'm doing. Also, i LOVE to work with feathers, although that's hardly original! LOL!

Not well enough! I am not good with words, at least not in English (second language). Having that said, as a crafter, I suppose through my “products “. Since we moved to America, I decided to send my family and friends a handmade card for their birthday and of course Christmas. However since I saw the video from Justine (twice!), the reactions from The Frugal Crafter and you, AND reading a lot of the comments, I know I have felt the same for a long time. I am going to make a change in my creating too. Not just card making but all the other things I do too. You are all a great bunch of people and a source of inspiration. Thank you!
@KerenTamir

Your english seems amazing, I wouldn't have known you're not native when you wrote here. The beauty of art is that it doesn't need words or it is a universal language. You could journal in your native tongue. English isn't my native tongue but has become after being in Canada for 30 years, but I spoke spanish before so I understand what you mean. I appreciate your support and encourage you to do art for yourself as well and for your well being. To learn how to tell your story with creativity even if you don't use words. Learn how to express it in any form you love....what is your native language?
@annekeschep8148
@annekeschep8148 3 жыл бұрын
I am From The Netherlands (or Holland), so my native language is Dutch. In Holland we all have to learn several languages in school, not my favorites, LOL! I am not really into journaling - yet - but I am interested in learning more about it. To be honest, I most likely will use many of the decorating techniques for card making. I am more a reader than a writer, and even more a crafter, many kind of crafts. Favorite material: paper. I work with other materials too, but mostly with paper (and all materials that can be used for card making).
@KerenTamir
@KerenTamir 3 жыл бұрын
yes I grew up in Venezuela and also learned english in school. There's many different types of art journaling. You can do it just with paper and use your cardmaking techniques like inking, stencilling and more..... there's so many options. The point of it is to express yourself, and tell your story through your creations. It's so therapeutic..... why do you create?

What a beautiful story..from cotton, coffee beans being picked, as something as simple as burnt wood using as charcoal..we should never take anything for granted, just because we see coffee in the grocery store, let’s think who picked those beans, roasted the coffee, from cotton, someone picked the cotton, during slavery days which were awful, everything we touch, came from other people picked, harvested, for us to enjoy..🤗🤗🌷🌷
