Some ai features are cloudd, its about 50/50.. battery is is 8-15% better, too.. based off s23u it was big battery jump... now the new cooling system plays a big part in battery life

I have always used the sPen to take photos. Makes it very easy to set up your phone take selfies with out having to put a timer or ask anyone to take a photo of you or a group of people.

I have to say the fingerprint scanner did fail on my S23 Ultra in different situations. Sometimes when my fingers are too dry, I can't unlock at all. In my case I think Face ID works a lot better

I don't know why it feels like this is the first time since the S21 line that Samsung has made quite some significant changes to the Ultra. The base models are practically iterative aside the bigger batteries and return of 1440p on the plus. Nonetheless, this line up is very tempting. Been a bit sceptical about upgrading from my S21+ owing to the fact that the S22+ and S23+ are physically smaller hence smaller batteries

Funny, because the inverse feels true. What really changed with the Ultra? Just the flat screen and a downgrade in camera really (from 10x to 5x). And it's $100 more expensive. Meanwhuke the Plus got a jump in screen resolution and a jump in RAM (from 8 to 12) for the exact same price. The Plus got better while the Ultra got worse (and more expensive).

S-pens usefulness is for when signing documents and taking selfies. I usually received banking emails that requires me to sign digitally, and with the S-pen, it allows me to do that. Plus the fact that you could annotate any PDF file and photos with precision thru the pen. Another perk is the S-pen serving as a remote selfie shutter. No more timer needed, just have the phone properly positioned, and you could take photos many time thru the s-pen. When editing photos especially using the magic eraser tool, its very much useful for those tiny selections that you have to do to delete objects that could otherwise not be done by hand due to lack of precision if done with fingers

@@CallMeKJOSI guess you mostly use an iphone then, because before i even bought this a year ago, thats what i say, the s-pen is just an optinal feature that i dont need but great to have maybe, but in the end, its usefullness upon having it is more than what i expected than when just using the hands. I would assume you dont extensively use the s23U then because comfortwise and the precision the spen offers is unmatched from just using your fingers. Ocassionally useful for when editing videos too as i use the s-pen to crop in rhe timeline with more precision that i cant just do with my hand at that level.👌

Totally went from ecosystem to ecosystem (Pro Max 14, watch, Airpods, iPAD pro) to (S24U, Watch 6, Buds pro, tab S9). Thought it was a good choice. Now a couple of days in the new ecosystem makes me miss the flawless connectivity of Apple products. The quickness of notifications on my watch, Airpods have never failed in picking up a call, Apps so smooth like that they were made for Apple. Am I doing something wrong, because I encounter continuous failures in the connectivity with Samsung. Already regretting the switch tbh...

I would choose Iphone 15 Pro Max. System still way better and Iphone shoot better Photos. Many features in S24U are pointless what u will never use. 100x zoom? 960 fps? Ai? 99% will never use these on daily basis. And now S24U even more expensive than Iphone 15 Pro Max. So I would say choose Iphone if u don't want to buy new phones every year because Android system slow down every year. That's what happened with me all the time used Androids for 15 years. Never again Samsung or any Android Phone.

They increased the brightness from 1750 to 2600 (~ 50%). I don't think 8Gen3 is as much more energy efficient than 8 Gen 2. "AI functions" are a divorce. Do you remember the last time you called a person with whom you don't speak the same language? What is the point of searching for photos when I can log into the browser anyway and use a smart camera to do about the same thing? And in the presentation, for some reason they did not show an increase of > x10 compared to S23U, I think x30 and higher will be parity with S23U. The only advantage is switching between 4k60 modules.

S24 Ultra is perfect just as expected. I've already seen the camera features and it's amazing. IPhone adds a yellow filter on every scene which makes it boring for me. The yellow filter only makes sense where there is sunlight. But even when you take your photos at night, you'll still see the temperature on the iPhone

I think atleast in the US the s24 + is the one to get. If you don’t need the spen or space zoom then you get everything else. Titanium meh.

Honestly, if I hadn't purchased the S23U 6 months ago and was in the market for a new phone, I'd take a serious look at the S24+. 120hz 1440p screen? 6.7 inches vs 6.8? Rounded corners instead of these awful square corners? The same processor? The S24+ is a flagship all on its own this year.

Well, in the US at least, the 2 phones have a $100 price difference, and at least Samsung has deals more often than not. Personally think the S24 Ultra is bringing way more to the table. Easy choice for me

I dont know why but the s24 series has the vibe of a pixel 8 and iphone 15 pro. Like, optically, samsung tried so hard to copy apple with their iphone 15 pro. And if you look at the software description and whatsoever, they kind of tried to copy google with their pixel 8. Although i am a samsung user since ages. I expected something different, something new and not such copies. Really disappointed
