I've put the akra full titanium system on all of my V4 ducati's and its hands down the best....its a bit expensive but you know the saying :) The new termi slip on in black would be sick too...just installed that on the SP and it looks and sounds really good.

Jaret that’s been my experience either go with arrow for the budget, akra slip on if you want a premium slip on, and go full akra for the best sound and performance Just my two cents

Solid unbiased review Bill. The matte and gloss carbon fiber mix is a little perplexing to me as well. As for the carbon weave on the RH of yours, mine is not like that at all. Both CRT cans are perfect and well hidden from the naked eye on mine. Speaking from experience with SC Project across my line-up, I can say the default DB Killer does tone down the overall note. Removing that inner cone will liven things up and bring up the decibels quite a bit. By the way, Bogna is a beast on track. 🙌🏽

Thanks for honest review, we need other channels to do the same. Not every product works as expected, this one seems to have been rushed into production. Having said that, this high mounted exhaust makes no sense to me. The two main reasons exhaust are now at the bottom is for lower centre of gravity and under tail exhausts, in most cases, cause a drop in hp power (unless it is a v-twin).

First off Bagna is killing it on her V2 ...!!!!👍 Now lets sort this out . With the heat sheild see you can get a hi temp clear coat. Call SC and see if you can send the cans back swap the cans with out the db killets. Or if you feel bold remove the revits then sort out how to remove the obstruction. One of the other comments was to swap out the cans with another brand. Either you get creative or spend a bit more on the cans to get the exhuast to your expectations. My thoughts, hope it helos. Bill, go with the Akrapovic. I promise you’ll love it. I often go into my garage just to stare at the bike and my eyes are always drawn to that beautiful exhaust. And it sounds wild of coarse. Also shout out to Bogna, girls a rider!

+1 to the akra. I've seen this on track with the v4 panis and they RIP. Although the akra might also be a boot burner although I haven't heard of anyone complain so far and most of the guys racing here with the v4 have the akra. It IS expensive though, dear god....

Try the Spark double grid-O titanium. It sounds really awesome on my SFV4. It comes without the db killer.

I think that system sounds and looks great... yes, having a removable DB insert would be better... "longer systems" will have a deeper and quieter sound in "general".

"deep-throaty"....ha dirty...I don't really like SC project exhausts, they are just too obnoxiously loud to me. Great riding as always, Bogna is a beast on that V2!

I really wanted to go for this exhaust because it reminded me of my first big bike, an 06 Yamaha FZ6. But after watching videos of it and seeing how it moves around when revved I’m glad I decided against it. Went for the full Akra system instead. Waiting for my bike to be delivered.

Sad to here about the exhaust😩 You should contact the SC-Project about your issue. If you look at the SC-Project home page you can see a pictures about the system that not have the issue with the twill weave on the canister😳. It also says that you can use your number plate holder. Have you look at the Miiv exhaust system? With the Miiv exhaust you can use both original number plate holder and Ducati after market plate holder. I wish you good luck🙏

The v2 is beast. Hopefully we get more content of the v2. Sucks about the exhaust. Also decided to go with the akrapovic exhaust, because of the warranty void from ducati if I use a aftermarket tuner, which will sadly void the ecu warranty.

Whenever I buy an exhaust, last was Akro for my Tuono Factory, I check their website and any videos showing the performance. I have always been able to find info regarding the decibel rating and quality. Never was awed by looks of SC, usually Yosh or Akro.

From the sound captured by the mic, it actually sounds worse than stock 😢 Why don't they have a "race only" version without the db killers? Bring that Arrow back, it sounds amazing! 7000 bucks will buy you a lot of boots 😀

As far looks go I really dig this sc system as it reminds me of the panigale r final edition akras, which is one of my favorites. Yeah I get your point about the carbon seam showing, when spending 3.500$ for a system, it’s unacceptable. The sound really sounds like it lacks bass, but I don’t know how loud it really is from the video. Also it really has the type of sound a stock Ducati v4 makes. I Would be disappointed too. If you go to a custom exhaust shop they can surely unweld and remove the buffles. Also the gloss carbon, you can just sand it and clearcoat it with a Matt finish.

I have the SC Project Crt with Euro 5 for street use. There are another model without that cone for race only. That grid cone in the SC Project CRT is the DB killer. I cut it out. Now it is louder, more bass and bangs also in road and dynamic mode. The bang is natural not like in dynamic pro wich is horrible.

Looking for Quality, performance and deep clean tone always go for Akrapovic full system… SC project in some bikes sounds too loud like a straight pipe

Besides that carbon seam I think it is about your preferences... For example I wouldn't buy exhaust without dB killer like Bogna has on S1000R. Why? Because it useless here in Europe. It is illegal on public roads. When cops stop you and you don't pass noise measuring then it's tow truck situation and serious penalty. Every track I know in my nearby has noise limit between 96 and 102 dB... you don't pass you don't ride.

Maybe look at sparks exhaust. I do know that Luca Salvadori’s Ducati race bike has the same model sc project exhaust, but probably from the racing department. Maybe?

I regret SC Purchase as well.....on customer service alone....Quality Control is a different story.....twisted mounting bracket ? No Rubber Grommet ? ....Splattered Welds ?

On a different note: did the product specifically say "meets eu5/homologated exhaust"? Because if it didn't then the seller needs to give you the race pipes. They always have 2 distinct product lines: the street legal stuff and the race stuff. It's also entirely possible that the seller can't/doesnt want to sell the race exhaust in California because of the laws. IMO, speak directly to sc project, link this video and mention the seller. If bought online, probably take a screenshot of the product page in case it doesn't specifically mention eu5/homologated on the product page.

But idk man, if the sound doesn't work for you, see if you can get the race spec end cans. That's an easy swap. Life is too short to ride around a bike whose sound you don't like and feeling Bleh about it.

Thanks for posting. Sorry to hear about your disappointment with the new exhaust system. So the $3500 is for the exhaust? It does not include the header? Have you approached the manufacturer to see if they will work with you? Odd you had to replace the stock heat shield while not having to do so with the Arrow. Also, placement of the carbon fiber seam should have been a no brainer. Starting to sound like poor design/quality on the manufacturer's side.

I'm Not a lover of the routing or look of the SC. Plus looks as though you have lost a fair amount of power compared to the Arrow from the video. You should real the V2 in with ease so you must have lost power. I'm looking at getting the 2021 SFS trading my Tuono v4 1100 Factory in. I keep looking at the Termi under belly cans in black ive seen. They come with the up map too.

I believe you’ve purchased an EU road legal exhaust which is not due to be used on track! Don’t buy a road legal exhaust because EU laws say the dB killers can no longer be removed on a road legal exhaust!! Hence why it is welded!

I hope this doesn't become a trend with them. SC is my go to unless they change their fundamental design... simple is better! Akra sounds good but most of their designs for Ducati looks odd to me.
