Talking about dogs and their owners. I had two big great Danes jump up at me the other day. I had to stop my bike then the owner asked me if I had a bell on my bike. I thought it cheek as I was ringing the bell all the way down the road. I asked him if he had a lead but "no" was the answer. This was on the Trans Pennine trail, where there are lots of little kids about. I think before anyone gets a dog, I think they should have to go on an IQ test to see if they are competent to have a dog.

So, you averaged 22.6mph over 62 miles? Crikey. That’s fast for an amateur roadie let alone a middle aged man in a Hawaiian shirt. Chapeau!

If only... 💪😁 I started at an average of 10mph at 2 miles in were I dropped Julie off and finished with 18mph avg at 60 miles. so I was pleased overall. Will do the same route again later in the year and see how the figures compare. Thanks for commenting 👍
