The bracelet clasp is also like that on my 2008 Constellation. The "bottom" clasp is friction-fit while the "top" clasp is released by the dual pushers. It's quite secure and you get used to it after a while.

Terrific review. You, sir, are one the best and most comedic of watch reviewers, and truly under-rated! I have a silver dial Globemaster and literally find it to be almost the perfect watch - aesthetically, technologically, all of it. And yes, the scratches only add value. Anyway, keep up the good work, my man.

The Omega Globemaster is a hidden gem! Its iconic 'pie pan' dial nods to Omega's rich history, while the METAS certification assures top-notch performance. The tungsten bezel adds durability with a sleek look, and its modern size perfectly marries heritage with contemporary style. Rocking it on the Omega Milanese bracelet really makes it stand out. Undoubtedly, it’s an undervalued masterpiece in Omega's lineup! 🔥👌

Thanks for this review, I like the direct style of your videos and your dialect. And I adore the presented Globemaster, which is part of my small collection too. I bought and have regularly worn it without the (in my view too heavy) bracelet, but with all kinds of leather and nato straps. Just make sure, that you acquire some 20mm bent spring bars, since the lugs are - for most nato straps - too short and therefore the space between bars and watch case too narrow. For me, the GM is simply the most perfect watch Omega offers. Dial, geometry of watch case, design of caseback, superiority of movement, lume quality, crown size, lug shape, window frame and size, shape of indices and hands, color shade of the dial (it radiates in direct sunlight but dims in indirect light)... Another comment mentioned the size was too big and that 37mm would be better. With my slimmer 6.8 inch wrists I don't agree. The dial of this watch has to be Pilot-style-large in relation to the reasonable l2l-lenght of 46.5 mm. And a 37mm GM wouldn't house the 8900 anymore, which is the signature caliber of this model. The GM for me is perfect as it is.

I've had this reference blue dial for some years now but on the Omega blue leather strap with the folding clasp and it's nearly as good today as when I got it new. The watch in the video looks like it's certainly been through some action as the knocks and dings show on the case and the medallion on the case back. To survive these battle scars shows the robustness of the watch as a time piece though. I was tempted to see if I could get hold of the bracelet but to me I think it looks just a tad more elegant on the leather band. Many thanks for sharing BB.

As ever, great review and camerawork. One careful owner?! Even the medallion was scarred! I'm proud to say, my Sub that did 25 years of diving, marine survey, forestry, farming and mountaineering never looked that bad! How to take care of a watch? Er, not use it as a hammer?! But, the Globemaster... a beauty, for sure, an overlooked gem and DJ beater. Great colour, looks and movement, but definitely a bit thick and maybe still a bit big (for the design). Omega are so close with this watch, it just needs some refinement and resizing (38x11x46?).

You can get a Globemaster far cheaper on the grey market, so that’s not a huge issue if you’re already shopping in that price range. What annoys me is Omega increased their service price from $550 US to $700 for watches like the GM, and $1000 for chronometers etc. before tax, and they recommend getting it serviced every 5 years. It’s like owning a car!

I wear them carefully and sell them on when they I don't like the way they look anymore. The next owner can decide to polish them or not. I do small polish corrections with diamond paste and gentian wood. Or polywatch on cotton swabs if applicable. More than that, I prefer to let them collect until resell. But I also never owned q watch that would sell for more than initial retail. I guess that changes things.

Thanks for another great review 👍🏼 I think Omega doesn't get the respect they deserve in comparison with Rolex. Metas certification is much better and accurate than other ones like COSC or Superlative Chronometer. They test the whole watch and when they test the accuracy of a movement, they do it after the movements have already been installed into their cases, and the tolerance is average of 0 to +5 seconds, that means you'll never lose time and you may just gain a few seconds if at all.

I only service them if it’s something that will compromise the watch as a whole, for example, i recently had to service my hesalite DSPH200M even though it had less than a year of use, because i scratched the crystal deeply, I don’t know how it happened, but when they told me that I had to replace it, did not hesitate on the hesalite, because a broken crystal leads to a broken watch (water ingress), and a 50 USD repair, is better than an almost 1000 USD refurbish or rebuy. Mind you, id like to clean the bezel of a T-Touch i have, since it looks like it has been to a war zone, used it since 2015, but apart from that I wear the, non-threatening, scratches proudly

If you're OCD, this video will annoy you. 😁The reviewer says the Globemaster has an accuracy of -4 to +6 seconds a day. No, it is Metas certified, which means it has an accuracy of at most 0 to +5 seconds a day and probably better. For example, my Seamaster 1948 is Metas certified and has been tested with an accuracy of 2.7 seconds a day. Then there is the complaint that the bracelet doesn't open the way he wants. What? Really? That's a complaint? Just take the bracelet off and switch it around. This guy needs to do better.
