He wasn't just like: "alright,I'mma impersonate some niggas and that's gonna get me all the laughs and that's all I'm doing, cause' I'm a loser" And maybe you should've thought that more throughly cause' if you think that Donald Glover's a loser I just...damn,you must got it all figured out if Donald Glover's a loser in your eyes lmao

@Christopher Simon What?? Many of the greats have done impressions of others at some point. In Eddie Murphy: Raw, he did Richard Pryor, Bill Cosby, Mike Tyson, Mr. T, James Brown, etc, and that still wasn't his whole act. He even said that he started out mimicking Pryor, and he's still one of the best ever.

All it takes to do those things is being a good writer and then half-acting. He's not a good writer, that's my opinion, in fact he's not even close to anything remotely resembling a good writer, but we could disagree about that all day, that being said, he is demonstrably a bad actor, anyone whose acting includes for the most part comedies isn't an actor, they're comedians, Donald Glover hardly even touches drama, he has no range. The closest thing to Drama he's done is - again - completely disposable and void of depth. He's not even trying... no one has to reckon with him. If he were competitive with current pioneers of those fields, fair enough renaissance man, but his career proves only his talent for self-promotion, hard-work and entrepreneurship. *He's a talented businessman, that's about it.* He's not competitive with Kendrick Lamar + Amy Schumer + Dan Harmon (I couldn't think of another TV writer... though they're all shit anyway) at the same time, he just sucks enough to be completely predictable, thus popular, doesn't mean he's good. I mean, watch this stand up carefully - he put 0 thought into it... it's really awful. How could a writer be this terrible at coming up with 5 minutes worth of laughter, a writer who's acting career has fed predominantly off comedy? I'll tell you how, by being really, really bad at it. I'm sorry but, 30 Rock was as well written as SNL, I don't know if you ever noticed but it had literally no character development (and he was part of a TEAM of writers).

This is pretty much true for all censorship, but it especially hurts Glover here where the N-word is censored. There's a cadence to his delivery; the Seal joke definitely does not work with bleeps. Wish I could've been there live.

I'm about to reference something older so most people watching now may not have seen it, but I honestly think the Tracy Morgan and Chris Rock bit is paying homage to Eddie Murphy Raw. It's a similar to the part where Eddie talks about Richard Prior and Bill Cosby. Even the style of it. Good stuff, Donald!
