From the U.S. --Found your channel yesterday and tried this recipe today and it was delicious. For me it wasn't time consuming at all. I did put the meatballs in the air fryer 1st then baked. Oh so delicious indeed, not greasy or dry. My family loved it !! ❤

I made these last night and EVER good!!! Sauteed up my 'veggie' side dish of mushrooms and twirled in some whole wheat pasta and this will be my go to meatball recipe. Just to add, your basic tomato sauce was perfect!!! Thank you!

This is pretty close to my own meatball recipe. I don't use buttermilk though. I put in warm water a little at a time until it's smooth. They are incredibly juicy and delicious. My nephew deemed them the best he's ever had haha.

Look so good! I've never tried buttermilk before in meat balls but I will now.

Made these and added a couple of finely chopped habaneros for that “spicy meatball” effect. End result were the best meatballs I’ve ever eaten - delicious! The overall preparation time took longer than the recipe indicates, so bank on a further 30 mins or so.

I'm not sure if I can forgo my grandma's meatball recipe but I LOVE the idea of baking the meatballs in the sauce (especially when you added the cheese-WOW!), so I'll definitely be borrowing that technique ;D Thanks for the great video!

Just made baked meatballs the other week! So delicious! You should try this recipe with a slow cooked tomato sauce (we call it "5 hour sauce", because that's how long it takes) as well, because the acid really breaks down and the sauce becomes incredibly sweet, which is a great contrast to the savory meatballs. And I also love putting mozzarella pieces on top. Delish! Amazing recipe, will definitely try your variation on the meatballs.

This is spot on, meatball recipe and I should know, as I am a real meatball lover and I also love to make 'em. Gotta try this recipe and more than once. It's good to put 'em in the sauce as they tend to become dry, tasteless otherwise.

those meatballs look fabulous! i've never used buttermilk, but i have used a bit of sour cream or creme fraiche. you're so right though, that tang adds something wonderful that you can't quite put your finger on. i've also made meatballs with small chunks of cheese in the middle - they come out of the oven all oozy and delicious. i love your recipes and the new cookbook is awesome!!

Seeing as how your wife is Swedish, do you have a really GOOD recipe for classic Swedish meatballs? Many years ago, here in Aurora, Illinois, we had a restaurant called, the "Bit of Sweden" only two blocks from my house. Sadly, they closed over 30 years ago, but they had the best Swedish Meatballs I've ever had. Thanks, Donal! I'm already loving your channel!

Try lightly coating in seasoned bread crumbs before frying. Sauce + breading = incredibly delicious improvement in texture and adhesion of tomato sauce.

I made this and it was really tasting, i will try to convert this into meatloaf this weekend just for fun REALLY try this it's superb!

Vid is great, I have a question what are the measurements because I went on the website to make it but all it says is combine all the ingredients for the meatballs. Season with salt and pepper and mix until completely and evenly combined.

Had these with chips and salad .....superb😋
