I am yet 2 play DKC Tropical Freeze but, I completely agree about the first four games in the series. The SNES version of DKC2 is the best out of the first four games, probably the best out of all five games but I need 2 give Tropical Freeze a chance:) The first four games r truly gr8:) I think DKC Returns was too difficult 2 finish with ALL secrets. The first three games were difficult but in a good way. The balance of difficulty in DKC 1,2 and 3 was AWESOME!!! A suitable difficulty 4 casual gamers and speedrunners alike:)

@@StephenYTchannel I don't agree with that. While the K-temple(and the rocket level, which Tropical Freeze fixed by giving you two hearts in these sections) in DKCR were really difficult, it wasn't as frustrating as some of the more annoying dk coins and bonus coin, where you have to replay like the entire level if you mess up(those dk coins that are one of the rewards at the end of two levels in DKC2 are just evil). Plus, there's animal antics and the section with the bird, which in my opinion is the hardest section in any of the five games. If I didn't have save states, I'm not sure I would have finished DKC2 and DKC3 to 102 and 103 percent. As for DKC1, the bonus are hidden in completely insane ways and they give you nothing besides a percent, so I never completed it to 101%.

@@legrandliseurtri7495 fair enough u disagree. I have never played Tropical Freeze. Regarding the first 4 titles, I disagree that DKC Returns is easier than DKC2 and DKC3. For years, I also had problems with Animal Antics because of Squawks and calming myself down 2 survive with Rattly at the end. As I played it a bit more, I learned 2 calm and control my nerves in Animal Antics and don't find it too hard anymore. As for having 2 beat Mudhole Marsh, Fiery Furnace and Web Woods again for messing up the Hero Coin at the end of level, I personally only get stressed about it in Speedruns as I don't find it that bad playing casually. In DKC3, 4 me the hardest level by far is Rocket Rush even though there r other tough levels too like Koin Dozers I think it's called. I couldn't find all the bonus levels in DKC 1 without the Internet as, Oil Drum Alley is really truly difficult 2 find the third bonus room out of it's four bonuses. Me personally really struggle with DKC Returns. I completed around 75%-88% of it's secrets on the Wii version MANY years ago then quit playing it because I have A LOT of games plus it's INTENSELY difficult 4 me, honestly, I don't believe I could completely beat it. Yes, DKC 1,2 and 3 r challenging but 4 me if I play them casually, they're quite easy for me to get 101%, 102% and 103%. I never bothered trying 105% so don't know how easy or hard I'd find it. These r just challenging 4 me 2 Single Segment Speedrun them. Playing them casually I find them easy. DKC Returns I very much doubt I'll EVER completely beat, even if I try super hard. We r all good at different things. That's why some people r Doctors and some r Chiefs 2 name a couple of different talents.

@@StephenYTchannel 105%? I didn't even know that existed, that sounds interesting. For DKCR, something you might not know is that puzzle pieces are completely optionnal. They don't count for percentage, they don't unlock new levels, they're just there to unlock artwork. Many people seem to think that both Kong letters and puzzle pieces are necessary, that's why I'm telling you. DKCR is easier for the first playthrought and has a much better pacing for replays if you only collect the kong letters. Rocket Rush was not even close to being the most difficult level in DKC3 for me in any of my three playthrought of the game, so yeah it does seem like we have very different strenght.

I'm not V0oid but I can answer that. This category is to achieve 102% without doing that "trick". However, there is a different category called "True Ending" (V0oid has the WR too lol) where you can take advantage of the trick you mentioned to have instant access to all levels in the Lost World, and then face SSJ2 K. Rool instantly.

Plus doing the trick only gives you the Kremcoins you need to get to the Lost World. For 102% you have to get them all legit.
