[Spoken:]
Oh baby it's been so long
I've waited so long
And now that I have you
I want you to come
Come come come into my arms
Oh baby I need you I need you
Come come come into my arms again
Spirits move me
Every time I'm near you
Whirling like a cyclone in my mind
Oh sweet Peter, angel of my lifetime
Answer to all answers I can find
Baby, I love you, come, come,
Come into my arms
Let me know the wonder of all of you
Baby, I want you now, now,
Now, and hold on fast
Could this be the magic at last?
[Spoken:]
Oh hold on to me
Don't let go
Come into my life
Don't let go
Oh...
Baby, take me high upon a hillside
High up where the stallion meets the sun
I could love you, build my world around you
Never leave you till my life is done
Baby, I love you, come, come,
Come into my arms
Let me know the wonder of all of you
And baby, I want you now, now,
Oh now, oh now, and hold on fast
Could this be the magic at last?
Baby, I want you, come, come
Could this be the magic at last?
Could it be magic?
Come, c'mon, c'mon
Come oh oh come into my arms
Oh, let me know the wonder
Of all of you, all of you
Baby, I want you now, now,
Oh now, oh now and hold on fast
Oh could this be the magic at last?
Come, c'mon, c'mon,
Come oh oh come into my arms
Oh, let me know the wonder of all of you
Baby, I want you now, now, oh now,
Oh now and hold on fast
Oh, could this be the magic at last?
Could it be the magic?

A great female vocalist she had three essential attributes: 1. She had a great voice with or without a microphone (unlike Madonna). 2. She understood dramatic tension and was able to project tension and reconciliation in a tune - as was Judy Garland -as it she was acting on stage to a small audience. 3. Finally and perhaps most important she shared with classical vocalists the ability to modulate her voice from mezzo to forte, and down to piano when the moment called for it! All of these attributes are present in this performance. She was an African American and was never given the chance to express herself as was Garland. I have great affection for this late, great unrecognized lady of music - Donna Summer. Rest in Peace.

I grew up with Donna Summer. People forget how huge she was at the time. Her work with Giorgio Moroder is just timeless and this song is so special. It can still bring a tear to a grown man but man it makes your heart feel all the passion that she puts into it. I was so lucky to meet her at a book signing and she really did have a feel of magic about her. I treasure that moment. Miss her, forever in many hearts.

Michael . For me - I am a hard edge Jazz musican: I find Donna Summer's musicianship combined with a seductive voice 'live' as well as on records as an ability that few singers of that period had to add drama by her vocal ability to go from piano to forte: I am talking about the late 1970's when I became aware of her ability. She will always be underrated because of the period that she emerge. I cannot say the same thing about Whitney - but that is OK. We agree on Donna.

Michael Blalock Donna may have had some mental health issues - she be crazy sometimes! So i'm not going to annoint her for sainthood. But when she & Georgio Maroder got it right, it was dance-floor, disco magic. Their radio play stuff like She Works Hard For The Money, didn't do anything for me, but this, Love To Love You, Try Me, Winter Melody, etc,...forever classic.

Cast in the late seventies, this is one rhythm in romance that sealed several relationships globally. I mastered the lyrics and it in deed, worked wonders in my nascent window into the world of dating. Donna Summer was unarguably the Queen of disco, blues and pop.

One the most beautiful lyrics & songs of this millenium. Thank you Adrienne Anderson, Barry Manilow, Donna Summers & session musicians for making this song a true masterpiece.

I'm 50 years old and was a child when I first heard this song, I didnt understand it then, but the sheer tenderness and love used to make me cry... I hear it now, understanding the mood, and meaning, and it makes me cry today, Donna was a grandmasteress of emotion and effortless ability to take you there with her, lost in time.... RIEP Queen of hearts ❤👸🔥

_This song appeared on Barry Manilow's first album. And "went nowhere" (Barry himself said), until Donna Summer recorded it. The rest is music history. I still listen to this song in 2019, some almost 44 years later. Thank you for writing such a good song for our beloved Donna to turn into a winner!_
