This album was voted by Rolling Stone magazine, one of the 50 best concept albums of all time. A pure disco opera which is a retelling of Cinderella story (can also be interpreted as Donna's own story) in modern days in four acts. It's unique, you never heard and will never hear anything like it. It's a massive production with superb synthesizer work, impressive omnipresent back up singers, perfect arrangements and, of course, showcasing Donna's beautiful larger than life voice and her stunning vocal range throughout the songs. The whole thing is mixed to perfection! Although every track is brilliant the one that stands out in my opinion is "Now I need you", featuring an impressive choir, epic arrangements (the reverberating synthesizer effects...wow) leading to those last two minutes outro...EPIC! You will also hear classic dance tracks (acts 1 and 4), soulful ballads (such as the beautifully "A Man Like You") and futuristic electronic tracks (act 2). Her masterpiece with 'Bad Girls' album right behind it! She was categorised as a disco singer but she could sing anything: Ballads, rock, country, r&b....

Grandissima. E grandissimi Moroder e Bellotte. E anche i Munich Machine a suonare. Moroder è italiano come me. In Italia siamo maestri in melodia, e in musica classica. Solo un italiano poteva capire e valorizzare Donna Summer. In Italia vendeva tanti LP, in Usa solo un grande come Quincy Jones, ha capito la Summer, Donna artisticamente, si è trovata bene in Europa.

Tutto il mondo sa che è italiano, finchè l'Alto Adige sta in italia le medaglie e i premi nello sport,musica etc sono nel nostro medagliere e ce ne vantiamo, l'Austria, sinceramente, non so chi abbia avuto nel campo musicale discotecaro elettronico al livello dei nostri . Forse ti inganna il cognome, ma allora se fosse cosi,anche Cerrone,Gino Soccio,Bobby Orlando erano italiani....
