This Time I Know It's For Real, is a song originally recorded by Donna Summer, and released in 1989 as the first single from her album Another Place and Time. Like the rest of the album, the song was written and produced by the British Stock Aitken & Waterman team, though Summer also had a hand in writing this song, as well as three other songs on the album from which this single was culled.

I'm now 68 years old and anytime I want to revisit the 70's & 80's, all i have to do is search one of my most favorite artist of those days. That artist is Donna Summer and today's music could use a big dose of her talents.

I'm still used to my dad listening Ms Donna Summer music after all these years in our dining room table, listening to her on his iPad... I was born in 1983... I never minded it. Donna was awesome! I miss seeing my dad in my dinning room table listening to Donna Summer. He passed away last year on April 30 2022. So don't mind me everyone, I'm sad, I miss my dadda & I myself liked Donna Summer! 😢 I'm crying.

This is such a great remix of one of many incredible Donna Summer songs. Thank you Dance 80 music. I first heard this song in 1992 so I bought the single and put it on a cassette. I listened to it on the plane to L A on the way to the premiere of Angels In America. The flight attendant had to tell me to turn off my walkman.for takeoff.

Cleveland Ohio/ Traxx /West side 1979 with my fake ID from PA . 1st gay bar outside of Erie. Walked in to a 2 story converted warehouse with a 2nd floor 🐈 walk ...I Feel love had recently been released. There was a drag queen swinging above the dance floor. 80s and 90s were two decades of musical genius. RIP Miss Donna 💔🙏

i still remember the first time i heard this song - it was at the 'club' and as soon as i heard "I love you, I love you, I love you so" i said to everyone - that is donna summer - THEN the dj announced - 'here is the new one from Donna Summer...." that's how well i knew her voice!!!

it is such an era of amazing memories for me too. i am so happy that she did that album. it is nice that she wanted to do other things and experiment with other sounds but i still love her trademark dance sound. I had heard she was working on two albums when she died - a album of whatever it is she wanted to do and a dance album - i was so waiting for that.

Wes Miller Did you see her VH1 Live and More Encore!" special from 1999? She spoke about being in a musical. That was also the year she released "Con Te Partiro," the year I turned 21 and danced to that so many times on the dancefloor.

Donna Summer was the Queen of Disco until she found Jesus. Then she lost most of her following when she alienated the gays who were buying most of her music. Then she thought about it and tried to make a comeback. She was still great, but she could have been greater! RIP Donna, hopefully you are still entertaining your fans wherever you are.

LOL... I am gay and I was a kid (in high school) buying her music when she was the queen of pop music 78-83. Yes in the beginning when her albums were selling - it definitely was the gay club crowd buying her music 75-77. But after 1980 her radio airplay was significantly decreased by the DISCO sucks backlash of 1979... it pretty much destroyed the Bee Gees recording career. Her moved to Geffen (who collect music superstars and did very little for them), and the formation of ACT UP in 1987 (who campaign vigoruously against her - like that was the pressing issue back then - NOT) pretty much kept her of the mainstream pop radio from the mid 80 to the late 90's (which did affect her commercial output). But the gay community as a whole was divided on the issue - didn't stop a lot of us from buying her records. I get so tired of these bitter old queens - bringing up the alleged rumours of the past when they were never substantiated - ever. MOVE ON !!
