I absolutely love the technique for the Elm trees but I’m a bit confused about the shadows as they don’t match the trees in the front. Just me I’m sure 🙃

These are birch trees honey. The trees in the background aren't shadows of the trees in front, they are trees that are further away in the background and are only seen in shadow, without details. Thanks for watching, hope this helps.
